Is Nene Mcdonald more potent in the centres

I know it's game day but the question has to be asked - is Nene Mcdonald potentially more effective as a giant weapon in the centres and hopefully Milne on the other side (Mann to wing) rather than on the wing?

I just feel he could be better utilised in the centres and get more ball rather than be potentially starved out on the wing.. i know the last thing we need is another centre but I'm pretty certain he could be quite damaging

Milne / Mcdonald centres!!

After yesterday's game in which all the team played well, the winger under pressure to keep his spot is Nighty.
McDonald is a great addition and very potent and well positioned in defence.
Nighty I'm afraid is past his used by and I think should be replaced by either Mann or Milne.

After watching yesterdays game 3 times now, it is hard to be critical of any of the boys. In my opinion, Milne is the best right centre in our Club and should be out there feeding Macdonald ball on the right wing.

Depending on what the Club wants to do with Dugan, Widdop, Lafai and Mann, decisions will eventually be made regarding the left centre position, the left wing position and more importantly where Aiken's future lies. I'd like to see Aitken as a utility on the bench. If the Dragons keep Dugan and Widdop then it is Mann to left centre and Field / Dufty to left wing. Mann has the skills to be very effective at left centre including a great passing game that could send Dufty or Field sprinting to the try-line. I think the left wing would be a perfect position to blood both Dufty and Field into first grade.

Aitken on the bench could add so much to the Dragons both as a replacement backrow forward or outside back. If one of the halves are injured its Mann to the halves and Aitken to left centre. If a player or in the centres or on either wing is injured than Aitken can take their place. And heaven forbid if Dugan is injured at fullback, it's Dufty / Field to fullback and Aitken to the left wing.

Aitkens power running and strength would make him ideal in a backrow rotation. His speed amongst the forwards could very easy contribute to putting the Dragons on the front foot in the last 15 minutes of each half.

There could be a lot of benefits with Nene in the centres but he's better on the wing Imo because he gets into dummy half a lot giving us good go forward, he and nighty did a great job in this department, but for mine it's his presence close to the line, the opposition will be crapping themselves expecting a high cross field bomb, which gives the halves the options and the defenders will be in two minds all the time because I think I mentioned it in the trials he reminds me Topou, just very good at plucking the high balls...

After watching the game Nene is definitely a winger and a very good one at that. His positional play is exceptional and he carries the ball out of our red zone with purpose.
Looks the goods to me.
I think Lafai played his best game in the red v.

Agree rocket.
His defensive reads were first class as well.
Came in of his wing and crunch them 3 times that I remember.

The issue here is Aitken just re-signed.
He wont be moved from his centre position.
Its Milne for Lafai. No other way it can play out.
Mann, if he isnt in the halves... put him in place of Nighty.
Id rather see him given a go in the halves though. I think he can offer more then Mcrone imo.
But Mary wont move Mcrone anytime soon.
And he wont be replacing Nighty either.
As for bringing Dufty and or Firld via wing... no way.
We have players that specialise those positions.
Give them a run in there preffered positions when the time arises.
Main goal should be replacing Lafai with Milne.
And getting Mann a spot in the team.
These 2 should not be lost to the club.
Its a tough gig now trying to juggle our squad.
If Milne gets in the 13 we can keep him.
Mann, it looks like he will be moved on, i cant see him staying on with no gaurenteed position.
Thats a pitty imo.
Milne and Mcdonald on one side. And Aitken and Mann on the other would be entertaining to watch thats for sure.
Lets hope we can jag these combos for 2018.

What about Dugan,Widdop,Field and Dufty?
Dugan is our fullback.
Widdop is our 5/8.
Field isnt ready for first grade yet imo. He needs time. Give Mann a run... that way we can positively decide field or mann for 2018.
Dufty, he isnt proven yet in first grade, dugan is in fine form.
Dufty will get his chances during origin and if injury occurs to dugan.
The way dugan played yesterday, wow... he was on fire.
There is no way you would move him now in that form. If his form drops, then sure... try Dufty.
Mann needs a run at half until field is ready for first grade. Then decide between the 2 who would better suit partnering Hunt in 2018.
