Souths then appeared to get on top with tries to Higgins, Trindall and Rooke. Wenty cut the margin to 14-10 when Gwynne scored his second try 4 minutes before half time, however, they gifted Souths 6 points by losing possession from the kick off. Souths led 20-10 at the break.
Scott Ella scored 4 tries in the first 25 minutes of the second period, taking his season tally to an amazing 38 tries. Two resulted from passes from Siose Muliumu, another was on the end of a great Jordan cut out pass and the other was a 70 metre run after Souths dropped the ball.
Cush scored for Souths to close the margin to 28-24 but Adam Capovilla wrapped up the game by carrying 3 defenders over the line - Final Score Wenty 32-24.
