Broken jaws can come from fairly weak knocks if the mouth is open in certain positions when hit.

The whole ‘glass jaw’ if it breaks is a myth. I fractured mine in three places and the surgeon commentated later that my jaw was sturdy as, normally displacement would be horrendous with three fractures but had kept together fairly well.

Poor merkin. f**ked injury.
