On form we should destroy these guys We will be favourites though. We don’t usually go well being favourites
Knights will throw plenty at us in attack, Ponga and Pearce are In great form. However I’m confident our pack can get over the top of theirs, especially when the bench forwards come on. I’ll go us by 12
Knights won't be pushovers. If we treat them with respect we should get the chocolates, I reckon we'll get up by 14.
Wests Tigers: 1 Corey Thompson, 2 David Nofoaluma, 3 Esan Marsters, 4 Kevin Naiqama, 5 Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, 6 Benji Marshall (c), 7 Luke Brooks, 8 Matthew Eisenhuth, 9 Jacob Liddle, 10 Ben Matulino, 11 Josh Aloiai, 12 Robbie Rochow, 13 Elijah Taylor (c) Interchange: 14 Pita Godinet, 15 Alex Twal, 16 Michael Chee-Kam, 17 Sauaso Sue Reserves: 18 Tim Grant, 19 Chris McQueen, 20 Tyson Gamble, 21 Tuimoala Lolohea After getting through his injury comeback last week, star recruit Josh Reynolds is out with a shoulder injury, replaced on the bench by Pita Godinet. Back-rower Chris Lawrence is out with a hamstring strain while lock Elijah Taylor returns from his hamstring injury. The reshuffle sees Matt Eisenhuth move to prop and Josh Aloiai go to second row. Knights: 1 Kalyn Ponga, 2 Shaun Kenny-Dowall, 3 Sione Mata'utia, 4 Nathan Ross, 5 Ken Sio, 6 Jack Cogger, 7 Mitchell Pearce (c), 8 Herman Ese'ese, 9 Slade Griffin, 10 Jacob Lillyman, 11 Lachlan Fitzgibbon, 12 Aidan Guerra, 13 Mitchell Barnett Interchange: 14 Danny Levi, 15 Chris Heighington, 16 Jamie Buhrer (c), 17 Jacob Saifiti Reserves: 18 Daniel Saifiti, 19 Josh King, 20 Luke Yates, 21 Cory Denniss Young five-eighth Brock Lamb has been dropped for Jack Cogger. Mitch Barnett's return from suspension pushes Herman Ese'ese to prop and Daniel Saifiti to the reserves.
On form even with players getting injured we always look strong Godinet doesn't offer much in attack but can tackle. Them bringing in Coggar I haven't heard of him we should run Aloiai at him all game.
Reynolds, he’s a brittle one isn’t he? I’m confident Liddle can play 80 now but IC obviously sees otherwise with Godinet on the bench Hopefully Aloiai runs at Pearce all game
Geeze Clifferd, a bit hard on Josh, he played his first time game against blokes playing there sixth game, and he played basically out of position.
Don’t know if im being harsh Liddle has come back from a shoulder reco which would be much more taxing. Guess it could be worse, atleast we have the depth to cover
750k/annum x 4 yrs, almost 30 yrs of age, injury prone, not a game manager, devoid of express speed = we will b shopping him around when we sign son of IC at a loss of 500k/annum coz by end of ‘19 his mkt value will b approx 250k. In IC we trust !
I can't see this signing turning out well for us. He seems like a good bloke and he is competitive but we just paid too much for too long.
Reynolds has played a grand total of 20 mins for our club. Give him more time to get the body 100% right and find his best position in our team
yeah even if this year becomes a write off with injury he would be the first player to come back and have successful years after a bad injury trot. Benji wont last forever so he will be good for next year at least.
