It makes sense tbh. If we thought Wardle was any part of our future at all then why did we sign Guerra? Sione, Buhrer, Guerra, Barnett, does Wardle get in ahead of any of those? No. He's not gonna be a long term centre either. Do we really need him as depth? Not really, Sam Stone will be one year older, bigger, better next year. Pat Mat or Fitzy can fill the spot in desperate times.

Brown didn't bring Wardle to Australia to 'see how he goes'. He clearly rates him. I think he has 3 or 4 years left on contract after this year and the value would reflect what Brown reckons he's capable of. So why bring in Guerra who would push Wardle to Reserve Grade, or a 5-10 minute role off the bench?

If Wardle goes it's no big deal, Sam Stone becomes number 5.

Do you really think we only signed Guerra because Wardle is leaving?
