To be fair they were always going to spend most of the time talking about the day night test, and they also had to deal with the naming and shaming controversy in the soccer, which they dealt with pretty well I thought - all correctly pointing out that the soccer fans are being pretty stupid and that the game is hardly in rude health here.

To be fair, the Olympics can be on an Offsiders would still find a way to make the show 20mins AFL, 5mins Olympics followed by 40 second RL scandal.

Roy Masters heart may be in the right place but he has become a senile old mumbler...

He and the crow Caro Wilson had a review of the various NRL and AFL seasons on the show.

Some of the things he was saying were embarrassing...

I've seen it twice now and I'm still trying to work out his initial point about "Rugby League finishing the year ranked number three internationally" was all about...

He is still talking up the angle that the NRL got a higher percentage increase than the AFL so were the "winners" in the TV deal bragging rights...

The Crow wasn't a lot better though referencing the hybrid game in Ireland when talking about AFL internationally...

I'm sure from memory the Victorian AFL hosts a few years back were saying how bad the Sharks were for taking the punishment/deal all those years ago. Huge ramifications for the bombers now

When the story first broke in early 2013 I can remember Caroline Wilson say and I quote, "you have to think the net is closing on Rugby League clubs now".

Anyone watched this show in its first few years will remember that rugby league was the number one target, even small problems were blown out of proportion, ie code in crisis. The Melbourne Storm issue ran for week after week.

Whately (AFL) commentator and moderator on the Offsiders.
On the richter scale of drug issues the AFL is a 2.5 and the NRL is a 9.
Sandor Earls infraction will leave some playes nervous etc.
There is a story about Ben Barba and a photo showing an injury of a woman that should be looked into by the NRL.

Hinds:
The AFL got into this issue early and had the decision made by the semi finals..The NRL has taken too long ,and people within the game say there is no problem ASADA is a joke ,and the code will look silly with a decision after the finals.

Harms:The Kavanagh report stated this(insert name of supplements) ,and that will be used by ASADA in their final report to the NRL.

The token AFL following bird Kelly Underwood lauded the way the AFL handled the overall picture,but was a little critical of the leniency given to Essendon.

Whately and Dicky Hinds were the most critical of the NRL.

The ABC has never been known for its balance,and the Offsiders show reinforces the argument. How the hell can you get a balance when not one rl commentator or journo is on the show.
The other additional AFL derps are Cassidy and the lisping Harpie.

Perhaps the ruling was something they thought would be forgotten about by the time the judgement was handed down.

This will taint the entire season, a la Storm 2010, but even more immoral.
