Why are Long , Spicer and Ingman all in first grade? What happened to Oaten and the other no hopers like Wise. Who is Michael Ingman?

Referees have big problems at present. Neale has moved to NSW, Eastwood is in a NRL program and wont ref the q Cup all year, Wise is in UK trying to make Super League, Oaten had a falling out Luck has quit refing. Innman comes from cairns (no Q Cup experience). Long and Spicer will struggle I think

Spicer had an alright game in the Redcliffe vs Toowoomba trial game.

I know we expect refs to be up to scratch from the word go but should they be treated like players and given 2 to 3 games to settle in and see how they go unless they have a real shocker,

No. Has run a lot of lines though. Was selected to make his debut last year in Rocky but broke his leg in the week leading up to the game.

Must say that Rob Alexander had a good game at Kougari yesterday. His form last year was consistent and is probably the Number 1 man now.
