“We’ve just been getting a few little niggles here and there and a couple of injuries here and there, so I don’t want to look to far ahead.”

Cleary was, however, confident that Tago, Sorensen and Kenny would all be fit in time for the finals, which begin the second week of September.

“Yes I am, at this stage,” Cleary said.

“Most of them are fairly under control. They should be all right.”

Ivan speaks on Tago, Kenny & Sorenson:

I expect Crichton to play fullback and Mclean in the centres

Game looks a lot less of a guarantee now.

Backline missing Edwards, May, Tago and Turuva looks far more ordinary. Still massive favourites with bookies. But our sets won't start off anywhere near as good with McLean and Jenkins potentially in the back 3. Even if Critter goes to fullback. It's not quiet the same as Edwards.

Thank god we got To'o back.

Luke's minutes have risen in the past few weeks. He is also not looking as frantic when he comes on, and is fitting into the structure better.

Maybe hes actually looking a bit better because hes been given more minutes to work into a game... not suprised hes done well the last few weeks with longer mins..

Very hard to come on with 10 to go when the games done and really be effective...

The fact he is doing better is because he has been allowed time to settle on the field and coming on when the game is not completely done means he will play to the structures and not completely off the cuff.

Hope ivan keeps giving him longer mins till kenny is back. I mean ideally id like him to start and see what he can do...

But ivan has shown his cards and if kenny is out for an extended period or gets injured in the finals cogger will be the 9.

Unfortunately for salmon thatll be he misses out id say.

Salmon gets his spot cause he can fill a half spot if required.

With cogger at 9 and soni on the bench you can move cogs to the halfs if theres an injury so it basically rules salmon out and a specialist 2md rower comes in..

Given the way hosking has played at centre i think garner would probs be the better option as i think hed fill centre better and the bench 2nd rower gets extremley limited mins if no injury...
