What DOES Barry do anyway? Aside from screwing the club up, what is his actual role? To drink beer and be jolly?

This is a chance to rebuild the club. We are the classic underdog. Odds stacked heavily against us. In a mess off the field, no money, no leadership, playing rubbish. We can use this to create a stronger club. For too long we have been a non-entity that no one gave a rats about. This is a chance for us to actually mean something.

The extent of the mess can actually be used to attract some real quality, heavy hitters to the club. The business elite love nothing more than having an impossible challenge that others won't touch and turning it into a success. We need real entrepreneurs involved with us now. Not management lackeys but people who have made their own way from nothing.

I don't care if it is a no confidence motion at an EGM or private ownership, we need rid of the current management and board. This is the time in our history where the negative publicity can work for us. We need to bait the hook and get the right person/group to come in and put a broom through the joint.

Andrew Moore on Fox just now. Asked re change to club leadership. He had his finger on the pulse in saying Barry is unopposed and there would be little change. The general feeling on the show was that the Cronulla Board is incompetent and would probably lose Zappia at the end of the year. Also, that the Sharks were `just about stuffed' and the best thing for them to do would be to cut ties with Woolooware and move fully to the Central Coast. David Peachey's thoughts were similar but he seemed very sad at our predicament.
