No way Steve Smith would be or should be in the aust team by then. Many people ahead of him, I'd rather him have a couple more seasons at the least to work on his performances, because his bowling is no where near up to scratch (hell leggies usually take till late 20's to mature, Warne was a freak) and his batting will only get better. Good knock by him today though.

We've given ourselves a chance, i suspect we'll get chased down but you never know. Good recovery after a rubbish first innings. Pitch seems to have flattened out however.

39 overs bowled to NSW today, last wicket fell at lunch so none lost for change over.

Normally there's 96 overs in a day but they started 30mins early today to make up time.

VIC require 195 off at least 57 overs.

They were supposed to bowl 110 today so that would leave 71 overs

Copeland gets another. Hope Kat doesn't bowl him into the ground. 11 overs unchanged now. Certainly is showing his debut wasn't a fluke.

VIctoria won by 6 wickets with Matthew Wade coming in and hitting a 6 off his 2nd ball to win it after Hussey got out trying to do the same probably

Cricket.com.au lost its scoring for a long time so was behind for most of the last couple of hours

It's probably a good thing Hughes and Smith were dropped early in their innings as it gave our players a bit more 4-day practice for when the serious stuff comes around.

But well played Victoria, our batting hasnt been good enough all year and our bowling is very inexperienced.

Starc sounded like he was getting pumped, ditto Smith. Sounds like Hazlewood bowled pretty well though which is good to see

Smith was bowling over the wicket towards the end, don't know if he started like that. So wouldn't read too much into that.
