How can no one have Lazarus in their side? He will be the first one picked. How many other players have won premierships with three different sides?

I've probably left many out, so many great players. Just look at fullback, Lockyer stands apart from the rest but Mullins and Brasher were great to watch.

I couldn't agree more, and you could substitute Sailor's name for Lazarus'. Some of the players named ahead of him have left me gobsmacked.

I'd imagine that the following players would all be close to certainties (depending on the positions that they are eligible for):

Wing - Sailor
Centres - Renouf, Meninga
Five-eighth - Daley
Half-back - Langer
Lock - Fittler
Second Row - Tallis, Clyde
Hooker - Steve Walters
Props - Lazarus, Harrogan

The only two positions which I'm not too sure about are wing and fullback.

Lockyer may stand out as the best fullback of the lot, but he only came along at the end of the decade. Mullins was brilliant for a couple of seasons, but did little outside of that. Because of this, I think that Brasher, a consistently good performer (particularly at origin level), would be a good choice.

As for the second wing position, nobody really stands out. An outsider could be Willie Carne, who was widely considered the best winger in the competition before Sailor came along and dominated the position.

Lazarus was and always will be one of the most overated players to ever take the field. His large, slow moving lardism has only been matched by his sloth-like 'abilities' as a TV commentator.

I can't believe only a couple of you had elected Bradley Clyde in your sides.

One of the most brilliant modern day forwards and consistent performers, week-in week-out, for so many seasons.

I'm glad to see his name in the official list that Tigertread posted above.

Players like Steve Renouf, Tim Brasher, Darren Smith, "Spud" Carroll and "Chief" Harragan could very easily slot into their respective positions also. Very unlucky to miss out; but the 90's era produced so many proficient and accomplished players that classifying them into a group of 13 is a tough assignment.

The Raiders 94 side would whip all teams before them. Greatest side of the 90's!

Not before or since. Parramatta Eels of the 1980's and the Brisbane Broncos class of '98 were better.

You obviously forget the brilliant 1998 Brisbane Broncos. The most brilliant all-round side since the electrifying Parramtta Eels of the 1980's.

The 1994 Radiers were good, very good, but they did not possess the all-round brilliance of the '98 Brisbane Broncos. Close but no cigar.
