What Arm Do You Wear Your Watch On?

I am left handed and for years wore it on my left wrist.

I got a Tissot titanium watch and that started to polish the metal away as I wrote, so I switched to my right wrist.

Left handed, left wrist.

However I was a right-handed athlete (swing in cricket, forearm in tennis/squash) so the right hand did all the hard work in sport, that's probably why.

I wear a Fitbit. I alternate the arms because the band tends to irritate after a while.

They are designed for the left hand. Note where the main button/knob thingy is. It’s easy for the right hand to manipulate/wind as required.
The crown is what you are referring to
The idea is, it doesn't dig into your arm if its facing outwards towards your hand, plus the winding and operation of pushers etc as you mentioned.

You'll see 'left handed' watches with the crown on the left, eg Tudor Pelagos left hand.
Also plenty of left handed crowns for the sake of being different
