Will You Give Credit To This Years Premiers?

No matter who wins this year,
Will this season forever be tarnished because Melbourne did not compete?
Or will we all give credit to the eventual winners?

Yes they would get credit, because storm is an illegal team it wouldnt tarnish the grand final winners , if the storm were under the cap ,it would not be 100% they would make the finals.

Wow...now Napoleon is getting in on it.

Obama, Blair and Captain Cook should be joining soon.

Of course credit will be given to winning team...

No-one discredits the Roosters for 2002... apart from Bulldog fans but that's just to stir them up before they play each other.

Yes, except if its the Roosters or the Titans - they're probably just as bad as the Storm just not caught yet.

The Broncos and Eagles I'm sure have done it in the past but I don't think they are right now.

Yes you can only beat what is in front of you.

Newcastle claims thiers, as do the Broncos.

And they both should, only petty minds deny.

Absolutey I would give the premiers credit !!

It's akin to the Storm having had 14 players on the field every time they ran out over the last 5 years. They have had an unfair advanatge over that time, and therefore you can't treat them as an equal competitor!

You have to.

It does taint the result somewhat (especially if the Storm continue to play on with an over-the-cap roster, as some clubs play them once and others twice), but if the past has shown us anything it's that once you get into the finals almost anything can happen. Once you cut to the top eight, it won't even matter that the Storm were penalised this year. The team that wins will still have to be the best team of that top eight and as such deserve every accolade they get ... and deserve it more than the Storm did anything they have acheived in the past five years.

Of course they'd get credit.
The Storm have pretty much taken 2007 and 2009 out of the history books, they can't do that this year because they've been busted.
