Pretty much agree with those teams although Blair should be in before Chambers IMO, or at least until he earns the spot. Will won't start back into the system until only a month before round one after being out of the game for 3 years and given the year Bobby had last season it's only right that he gets first crack at it and should be his spot to lose and not gain.

Have you lot got no loyalty? You people have very short memories. No room at all for Bobby Blair?? He was playing wonderfully at his peak in 2011...to be honest I was happy when Dane was chosen for Queensland - we kept the better back in Bobby. The sky is the limit for this guy if he doesn't fall by the wayside like he did at the Panthers.

1. Billy Blater
2. Matt Duffie
3. Maurice Blair
4. Dane Neilsen
5. Justin O'Neill
6. Gareth Widdop
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Jesse Bromwich
9. Cameron Smith (c)
10. Bryan Norrie
11. Kevin Proctor
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Ryan Hinchcliffe

14. Rory Kostjasyn
15. Sika Manu
16. Michael Greenfield
17. Jason Ryles

The depth of the 2012 squad is far stronger than that of 2011. A full year of planning, rather than rushing to make the Storm cap compliant has meant we have excellent balance across the team. I'd say our 2012 squad, as a whole, is far superior to 2011.

Depth Backs, in order:
1. Will Chambers
2. Mahe Fonua
3. Sisa Waqa
4. Anthony Quinn

Depth Playmakers:
1. Luke Kelly
2. Slade Griffin
3. Ben Hampton
4. Jordan McLean

Depth Forwards:
1. Todd Lowrie
2. Kenny Bromwich
3. Tohu Harris
4. Jaiman Lowe

The rest are unlikely to break into the 17 above these players.

Seems like the same saga with signing Beau Champion last year. He will probably get a crack in the later rounds.

I went with Chambers because he defends pretty well for a centre while Dane is an all rounder.

I think Blair is a fantastic player but I just can't put him in the side. We will have to wait and see I guess.

My main points of interest are to have Maurice Blair somewhere in the backline, and Sika Manu has to start.

14. Ryan Hinchcliffe

Here's my team:

1. Slater
2. Duffie
3. Blair
4. Neilson
5. O'Neill
6. Widdop
7. Cronk
8. Bromwich
9. Smith
10.Ryles
11. Proctor
12. Hoffman
13. Lowrie

14. Norrie
15. Manu
16. Hinchcliffe
17. Lowe

Hinchcliffe can cover hooker, back row and halfback if needed.

Manu can cover the centres.

Waqa and Quinn are unlucky and Moylan will get a crack at some stage as well.

A lot of you seem to have Lowe and Lowrie on the bench. Personally i don't think Lowe should be on the team and i think Lowrie is a pretty average bench player (no impact at all).

One of our three-quarters really needs to be released at the end of the year and given Blair has resigned smart money is on Quinn. The thing that has been pissing me off since last year is we are so rich in three-quarter talnet but spread so thin in our forward stocks. Front row is still a concern IMO.

Les...totally agree mate.

I dont know why we are signing all these young speedy backs when we need at least two more props with NRL experience or else the same thing is going to happen this year where we get smashed in the forwards and lose a final on this basis.

Given we tried to offload Quinny and the end of last season with a year to go on his contract it's odds on this will be his last year with us. I've been a fan of his before he sustained those horror injuries but the very good money he's on will come in more than handy when he leaves.
