Just watched some highlights of the match against the Sharks- he looked unstoppable. This boy is only going to get better.

"SPEAKING OF BOLTERS
NEWCASTLE centre Joey Leilua is having a big year so far.
So big he is on track for an Origin berth. Scoring three tries last week, the attacking machine has averaged 126 metres this season, with four line-breaks, 20 tackle busts and 10 offloads.
A City Origin representative, Leilua was named 19th man for game one of the 2012 Origin series and could be on track to make his debut on May 28 at Suncorp Stadium."

Total dickhead.

Complete gun.

EDIT: He carries on like a dickhead but I actually love him for it and wouldn't change a thing...just put the ball down with two hands please!

He'd be close to our number one strike weapon. I'm almost happy that he did the immoral act of sending naked pictures of his gf to family members. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have a freak of a player in our line up.

After scoring 3 early tries on Sunday, do you think he tried too hard for the remainder of the match to pick up some more? There were occasions where I was hoping that the ball would end up in McManus's hands, but it died with Leilua instead.

I suspect you might be right there. But wow he is one very strong lad, he just swats 3 or 4 men out of the away like they were little boys - exciting stuff.

Jennings has his moments that are brilliant, but shit, he couldn't be as consistent as BJ is even if his career depended on it.

Still has an error in him. Which sounds picky but it becomes noticeable when we start talking about higher rep honours and having to beat out the likes of Jennings.

Apart from that though, agreed with the other sentiments. Weapon with ball in hand and a tackle bust machine. When guys start rushing up on Joey Roberts and Boyd are gonna have a field day with their options.

Absolute beast, get him one on one (or even 2 or 1) from 10m out and he scores more times than not

I wouldn't swap him for any other centre. Especially when you consider he's only going to get better. The only player who can stop him is himself.

If they don't pick Joey for Origin then we don't deserve to win. Absolutely ready for the big time. Mullo the same.

Mate, you'd think they'd both be sure things for NSW. BJ is already in and Mullo just needs a couple of games under his belt and he'll be in no doubt, he's head and shoulders above the rest of the eligible halves and it won't take long for selectors to be reminded of this.

Not only do I expect both players to be selected, I also expect that they'll dominate. Just gun players.

He is a beast. I think his form has been down a bit, but could be due to Boyd and Mullen missing.

He's going to be immense for us. Could easily be our top try scorer for the year too. I can see him getting 18 tries.

This is a funny thread considering how badly some have turned on the bloke

Sure his pass was silly but in a game where we were chasing points and were clearly frustrated, he tried a miracle play that simply didnt come off. If the pass had found Jimmy then the same people would be calling him a genius
