WTF??

Reigns should have been pushed towards Taker after his RR pop he was getting. If anyone were to beat Taker, why a part timer who most likely, won't be around long enough to get the full benefit of breaking the streak?

Coulda had the NAO vs Rollins/Ambrose

With Kane and Lesnar on a 1 on 1 perhaps. Heyman could have played up the bad blood

This could have lead to an epic Bryan/Reigns feud for the title, while Rollins and Ambrose could have gone through the tag team divison

The streak living forever is cool, but every one of us will remember it breaking. It's one of the biggest moments in wrestling history, it definitely should have been broken.

Someone like Daniel Bryan should have broken the streak. Why Lesnar? It makes no sense.

So many mixed emotions! I love it, that mania was epic as f**k. Still got chills from Taker, and so elated from Bryan.

Bryan is hands down the new Shawn Michaels, filling the void he left. After Taker's loss, I expected the main event to suffer, but he brought them back to life, shows just how popular and over he is with the fans more than ever.

Lesnar winning was actually the highlight for me, just on the unpredictability. I thought here we go, typical Taker match at Mania, wrote it off long ago, but very surprised.

The Main Event i felt was a wee bit predictable, we knew Trips would get involved, and we knew that Bryan would walk out champion. A great moment in deed, but a tad predictable. Although better than the other alternatives lol

Tell you what though, I felt like a kid again when it happened, just being stunned with disbelief.

Good feeling that.

Nope.

Don't think he was even there, was at a Blackhawks game earlier in the day. Someone on 4 Chan posted him arriving with security but it was clearly an old photo.

The Austin/Rock/Hogan deal was a nice way to open the show. Personally, I would have preferred it be some really well thought together pre-tape or some such but for what it was, a nice nod to the past.

HHH/Bryan started slowly as a typical punch-out 'attack the boo boo' match before it kicked up a notch when Triple H decided to wrestle more like Benoit. I kind of like that HHH worked more of a technical style of match compared to his last outings, a decent show of psychology. The finish was fine, post-match was what it should have been, outside of Steph looking like (and almost sounding like) Shawn Michaels from a distance, one of the better openers in sometime.

I blinked and Shield/Attitude Era match was over. A nice 'thank you' to the Shield for all their efforts so far this year.

Battle Royal was what it was. Still don't know why the WWE book Sheamus the way they do and expect him to get over as a babyface. Kofi is basically the Battle Royal king and I just had to laugh at his spot, good stuff. Glad Cesaro won, right guy, right finish and Show with a nice touch in the end gets some browny points with the smark crowd. It did scream of filler, but hey at least the win meant something.

The Wyatt entrance was everything it needed to be. For whatever reason was distracted during the match, seemed like it was a typical smoke and mirrors match being tied together with some decent story-telling. AA, Cena wins and it's the first booking gaff of the night but not utterly horrendous. They can salvage it if Wyatt wins the war in a memorable fashion.

Brock v Taker, seemed like a lot of meandering until the finish. It's funny reading all the reactions back. Mine was effectively: "???, was that the three count, did the ref just screw up? Heyman is coming to the ring...they're going to over-book this right? Oh nope there's the bell...wow...it's all over...I like the silence of this moment but Brock? Wow...well I suppose it could be worse but...damn, Vince must have really hated the Taker mohawk'. I think it was an acceptable end to the streak, but not the ideal ending.

Diva's match actually received some time and while it was a mess, it was fine and the girls got to hit some fun highspots. Good for them.

The triple threat was the sports entertainmenty match it needed to be and despite it being seemingly predictible from the out-set I thought there were some nice spots and near falls that kept me glued. The right person won in the right environment and that's all that matters. Credit to all the heels who played their part in this one, but most of all to Bryan himself who's immortalised himself in wrestling history.

That bump Orton took onto the monitor was pretty grim. He did really great to hold the match together like he did.

Should have been Daniel Bryan or Cesaro to Break the Streak.

Nope, Vinnie Mac got this call right.

It was impossible for a full-timer to take the streak, it's just so hard to book someone after they end the streak if they are on the show every week - they instantly become so legit that they just have to win every match, or else it makes the breaking of the streak look silly.

Brock will boast tomorrow, demand a title shot and receive one for WWE's next "A" PPV (Summerslam) where he'll win.

Should have been Shamus who should've overtaken the role of the undertaker,Lesnar is painfully overrated

Awesome Wrestlemania, the card was well done, but for the first time ever, that Taker match was Terrible, not because of the ending, but because Brock is terrible these days, no longer as athletic and way stiffer, not the type of Match taker can do anymore.

But what's this do for Sting? Whats the point of signing him anymore? Calaway (Taker) will most likely retire now, his body just can't do it anymore.

Cesaro winning was awesome

I honestly don't think anyone can say they saw Lesnar winning this match.

:D Post #5
Matches so far:

Bryan vs HHH. Winner: Bryan

Wyatt vs Cena. Winner: Wyatt

Undertaker vs Lesnar. Winner: Lesnar (!)

30 Man Battle Royal. Winner: Not sure yet...

Orton vs Batista vs Bryan. Winner: Batista (!)

Pretty bad picks for the other matches though! The streak had to end one day, and I suspected that moment wouldn't be used to put some up and comer over.

agree that was a great wrestlemania(top 5 IMO) but that bad match was more to blame on the undertaker. Brock has had acceptable matches since he got back against Cena, HHH and Punk. undertaker was slow and lumbering around which is understandable considering he ancient. he should retire now. I don't think a Sting/Undertaker match next year will be any better.

Cesaro lifting the big show was great. I knew he was strong but my god that was impressive.

Taker hasn't been able to do much for years now, thats why they had Ring generals work with him for the last 5 Years, he could still pull out a decent spot, but wasn't needed to carry.

if this was 2002 Brock then it would have been perfectly fine, but Brock for some reason hasn't ever gone back to the style he wrestled when he first came into the business, and now prefers this "Stiff" Style that he uses that bounces back more from his UFC days.

Taker will Most Likely come out and try to retire tomorrow only for Stinger to challenge him to next year as a retirement Match, I don't Think Undertaker will retire next year, i can see it being back at home in Texas in 2016, which will most likely be the biggest Watched Event in WWE History, i assume with a HOF induction.

Back to Mania, What a waste the Shield match was, they could of had a match that would have torn the house down, but nope they get thrown into a squash match that took less time than, Hunter's entrance.

The divas match was alright, and nice to see AJ get over with a heel like move.

if they planned to make Taker lose i also wish that it had been the Main Event, the crowd was left stunned and it wasn't until The American Dragon won that they actually came too and celebrated.

It would have been good to see Taker close the show looking back at the crowd, that way i don't think the crowd would have been to upset, and all streaks come to an end eventually, Even Joe DiMaggio's.

One of the best and most memorable Wrestlemania's IMO, and the best for me since WM17 or WM19.

Bring on Raw RVD Return, Cesaro Getting a push, Bryan with the Title, Sting's Debut and a usual Hot crowd after Mania.

What I want to see now that wrestlemania is done with.
A big show vs cesaro fued would be nice.
An Orton / Batista alliance & win the tag gold
A faction of ziggler/ Ryder/ miz
Cesaro gets replaced by sandow in real Americans
A masked kane
Mysterio / sin cara full time tag team
Sting vs taker at summer slam
Ryback back to the face monster
Cm punk return as a heyman guy
Santino go heel
Cena go all Hollywood hogan
(Cena, Orton, Batista) nwo style faction
Cena = hogan
Orton & Batista = hall & Nash
hhh = Eric bisholf
Nikki bella as diva champ
