Eels Appoint Brad Arthur as Head Coach (Part Deux)

Not sure moving closer to the Uni is the way to go for the Wig and Pen. Llewellyn Hall is a bit out of the way. I think something in the Melbourne Building would be the way to go. Obviously not that simple though.

Yeh it has to be suitable for installing the brewery (and given that Ireland by franchise are already set up in the Melb building not much chance there). The Llewellyn Hall thing is not ideal but is closer than it seems and is also handy to the alleged 'New Acton' stuff. One bonus is that the acoustics will improve...my throat is still recovering from having to shout to be heard 2 feet away from the listener last week.

I wanted Taylor and didn't think Arthur was really an option.

But gee I am wrong, I was always of the belief we had a side that could score points but didn't think we would be able to defend as we have. Arthur has done an amazing effort especially with our defence.

And don't forget he was appointed very late season.

After looking at our draw for the first 6 weeks I was thinking 1 and maybe 2 wins would be possible and a good start considering 3 games were against last years grands finalists and a game in Brisbane and a side with so many new players and new structures to learn. But to get 4 wins is an amazing effort . And we have only played one half of poor footy.

Truely an amazing effort by Arthur!!!

I too was keen for JT.

The transformation in this team is nothing short of amazing.

4 from 6 is an extreme over achievement given our draw for the first 6 weeks.

Brad Arthur has done an amazing job to get us there.

I wanted BA. We needed a tough nut who knew how to win. Over the moon with his appointment. JT will probably never coach first grade again.

He was praised a lot by the players during his time at Manly. You guys should of never had let him go in the first place.

Well " The Plumber " seems to know his stuff . Thank Christ " The Accountant " should now be history .

Was thinking the same. Our previous admin, overlooked BA and Michael McGuire to sign Stephen 'the lads' Kearney. They then overlooked BA to sign Ricky ' it's not my fault' Stuart.

Thank f**k sharpie stuck to his guns and got his man. To think some people were calling him out because he was a plumber.

Has an admin ever been so wrong????

He probably became a better coach by going to a mob with toughness like Manly. Toovey is no mug either by the way.

He said that himself, and Ricky did us a favour by f**king of all the deadwood himself included. I was hoping for somewhere between 11th and 14th this year and an improved effort but 4 from 6 is just amazing.

You could say the experience of coaching at Manly for a year would be valuable but Parra could not of predicted him to come back. They were lucky he is loyal to Parra and he was willing to come back after he was cut for f**king Parish.

The previous admin did well to sign Arthur in the first place. They f**ked up by bowing to fan pressure and signing a big name in Ricky Stuart.

He was offered the head coaching job. They don't come around too often.

We finally have a team to enjoy and all you shmucks want to do is wallow around in past miseries.

Some of you are in bad need of a shrink to get you over it!
