Power folding mirrors on cars

I was wondering whether it would be possible to add power folding mirrors to a car after you have bought it.

While not a necessity, at work and home alike, I am subjected to many reckless parkers, and I think having mirrors that automatically fold and unfold when the engine starts would save me some headaches.

But my car doesn't have this feature, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to add it on after you've bought the car.

Does a model of the car have them? I would think its possible if that's the case.

I have an MY14 Mazda 3, and while I can manually fold the mirrors and then unfold them before I drive, after a 10+ hour day at work, sometimes you forget, and then I have to pull over, unfold the mirror, and keep going. I don't think Mazda offers it on any of their new 3's.

Being able to add automatically folding and unfolding mirrors after market would be a big win for me.

I know it wouldn't be cheap if it was possible, but it would be worth it to me.

Yeah. But too expensive. They would need to run the cables and etc. Too much money for such a modification.

As an alternative purchase after market mirrors which are smaller. Might help a little. I know some non electric mirrors can fold inwards manually. That might be another option.

If it's way too expensive, then it's not worth it.

But purchasing after market mirrors might be the way to go.

You seen those cars with a Transformers badge on them?

Now you know.

What I meant is I never used the auto-folding mirrors function lol - of course I use the mirrors themselves -everyone does :)

I drive a Landrover Discovery, and powered folding mirrors have come in handy when reversing out of tight parking spaces next to concrete columns.

Way too expensive to add as an extra even if available. After market I doubt this exists in any form worth taking on expense wise. You have a choice either to buy a new car that has this option or persist with what you have.
