Our first 9 players are first grade potential. If everyone was fit (mossop loko tanginoa ) You could argue with Lassalo that our top 13 in wenty would compete in an NRL game?? Maybe not win but compete that's for sure

I think that our first 11 could easily make the NRL. I don't think Alvaro or Ualesi will play first grade with us in the future I think both could play NRL week-in, week-out in a better team.

Big surprise today!

I'm waiting for the official changes but I can tell you that Junior is absent and Fui is warming up here at Henson Park.

Looks like there are a few other changes as well...

Fabian Goodall (#20) is warming up, along with Fui (#21).

It looks like Bureta Faraimo is absent with Fabian taking his place.

Lee Mossop is making his debut in the #18 while #25 remains unidentified.

I might be mistaken about #20, team sheet is listing the player as Henry Rawalui.

Apologies.

Justin Lemalu is wearing the #25.

Sadly the time has come for Fui, good to see Mossop playing hopefully he can get into first grade sooner rather than later.

Dropped ball from the kick off.

Wenty scrum 10m out from Cronulla's line.

Massive chance straight up.

Pewhairangi nearly slices through some flimsy defence but loses the ball!

Crazy start to the game.

Cronulla scrum 10m out from their line.

Good defence from Wenty and Cronulla complete their set with a poor kick that Rawalui eats up.

Mossop takes his first hit up for Wenty and is well met by some eager defence. He stands in the tackle but can't get his arms free.

Fui makes a good charge but Wenty can't capitalise off it.

Matterson bombs it on the last but it sails 1m too deep and is taken in goals.

Cronulla ruck it out strongly, making considerable metres up the middle.

Like Wenty, the choose to bomb it on the last and Folau takes a good take near his tryline.

The basic footy continues from both teams as Wenty take their turn to direct bodies up the middle before a more attacking bomb is contested by our right-edge. Unfortunately there is a knock on from a Wenty chaser and Cronulla will pack for a scrum 20m from their line.

Pewhairangi rolls in a nice grubber to complete another set for Wenty and trap the Sharks near their goal line but Wenty undo the good work by conceding the first penalty of the game and Cronulla resume play just shy of half way.

Wenty struggle with some scrappy second phase play but eventually pull the ball down.

That brings up the last tackle and Cronulla run the ball on the last with Gardener who rips through and looks to have scored an easy try. However, as he spun through contact to score he lost the ball and Hunt scrambles out of the in goals with the pill.

Poor goal line defence from Wenty and an early release but we will take it.

Despite their poor effort in defence, Wenty have no trouble working the ball out and complete another set with a good kick as play is taken deep into Cronulla's half.

The Sharks come up with a handling error near halfway, giving Wenty great field position.

There is a fortuitous call for Wenty after we seemingly knocked the ball on but the ref calls play on.

Wenty can't make anything of the call, failing to crack Cronulla open before Matterson's fifth tackle kick sails over the dead ball line.

The Sharks pick up a penalty for Gardener getting tackled on suspicion and they will play out a full set in Wenty's half.

The brittle goal line defence of Wenty continues with Sione Masima rolling through some terrible attempted tackles down Wenty's right-edge to score 5m in from touch.

A few blokes had a crack at Masima there but it was all arms.

The conversion is successful.

Cronulla lead Wenty 6-0

No game clock in view.
