Inevitable, he will be largely looked back with fond memories for sure.
Good luck to him.

Glad the club is keeping him on. Will continue to be great for the young guys coming through.

Setting up Manu for the run down the side line 2008 against Melbourne.

There can't be anything else!

I do recall him running 80 metres to score against the Roosters in the epic 31-31 draw.
If I remember it correctly was off the back of another try to hit back an early two try deficit.

Much maligned player of late. World cup winner… 2008 playing a part in the try vs Melb.
Many good hits.

Pity his career ended as it did...

That's first unquestionably, second would be his shoulder on a charging Joel Clinton that knocked him out into next week. Don't we all miss the shoulder charge?

Never reached his potential but not through a lack of his own application, just bad luck with his body.

I was as vocal as anyone about his defence but the guy deserves to be remembered as a solid club man who guys loved playing with, and will offer plenty in the years to come.

That was brilliant. I was at the game and laughing to a few mates (Broncos fans) before the hit that all Joel Clinton seemed to be doing that night was hanging out on the edges waiting to run at halves/centres - despite being a prop he was barely getting any work done through the middle. And then... smack!

Enjoyed him playing on in the WC final with Fa'alogo for a try when Laffranchi stripped the ball from Benji. That was one of those exciting 'we're really going to do this?!' moments.

Missing the 2007 finals series (along with Manu) was probably the key to us losing narrowly at home to the Eels.

We definitely missed their speed and power in attack.

Negligible what their absence would have made in our subsequent elimination away to the Cowboys.

"...Ropati, a fend on Folau, a pass to Vatuvei...he gets it on to Witt...put the ball down son..." (Ray Warren, Nine Network, September 2008).

Hope those three players get to enjoy that moment in their sunset years, along with all their teammates and coaching staff that day.

Shame the injuries probably prevented us from seeing the best of him. Never a fan really, but wish him well, and if the public demands a statue, so be it
