John Morris can play 80 minutes.

It doesn't happen though.

You need speed from dummy half, he's no quicker than DeGois or Morris.

Morris is better defender.

You could do a lot better. Cameron McInness would've been a good place to start. Best part a decade younger and a shitload cheaper.

You'll get 2 decent years out of Ennis and then you gotta go and find another player to replace him. Seems to me like a dumb idea and a waste of time and money.

Not to mention the fact that any chance a young guy has of playing first grade has just been told to park his date for a few more years.

These are the sorts of decisions that see talented young players go elsewhere.

It's a young mans game these days. Purchasing old boys worked well in the 70's and 80's.

Disappointed we did not get Korisau.. young creative really enjoy watching him play. Ennis on the other had has a couple of years left, is fiercely competitive but never particularly exciting to watch... Very different styles..

Hopefully Ennis facilitates Nu Brown or Penani as a permanent fixture into firsts..

This year the Sharks should have given Brown and Politoni some time on the bench as the back up hooker to Morris.

Those guys are nippy as hell and good ball players and would take the pressure off Robson and Carney who seem clueless right now.

Leaving play making duties to John Morris is not good as he just doesn't have the skillset for that role. Politoni and Brown are better suited to that role given they've both played a fair amount of hooker and halfback in their time with reasonably good results.
