Saints have assembled one of the best backlines in the comp through good recruitment. Now they need to retain their stars in BMoz and Merrin and then go for the new recruits. Kasiono looks like a rumour that won't go away and Mason.

Mary said in heis press that alot of things need to change with the football club and that Mullholland rumour probably is the start. If you watched the press confress last night BMoz looked uncomfortable talking about his future and did not show alot of confidence that he will re-sign just kept saying that he is contracted till next year which is scary.

BMoz won't leave though.

Because Mr Politis recruited the "best" recruitment manager in the NRL: Peter O'Sullivan.

The same Recruitment Manager employed at the Storm and they key figure in the salary cap breaches between 2007-2010.

I don't think our backline is that great; We have no real outstanding specialist powerful centre. Our halves pairing are mismatched. We need a general organiser who can actually kick long. Marshall and Widdop are not that sort of player.

I'm interested in this Peter O'Sullivan though, maybe he is the man to help sort out our roster. Hopefully he is half as creative as the other Peter.

He did not look very happy at the post match press interview did he? If Mary and Doust have costs us the extension of his contract, it would be devastating for me and other like-minded fans.

This Mary appointment is feeling more and more like the Price appointment all over again; I really hope I'm wrong.

Now the Dogs are not only saying they won't release Kasiano for 2015, they are looking to keep him long term. It?s unbelievable that Mary and Doust have not made any recruitment moves as yet.

Just goes to show that if you have a good coach and good Club administrators/staff, it seems you do not have to pay overs and mabe can even pay unders for marquee players. The Rorters have recently claimed they paid unders for Jennings.

I understand we have approached Peter Mulholland to become our full time recruitment manager... Make of that what you will, but he was in demand by Wayne to take him up to Brisbane with him.
A start at least.

I think it would have been late 80's/ early to mid nineties. Pretty sure he also played for us...but that could have been him or his brothers ??

Relax dude... the teams that finished beneath us on the ladder have $6.2 million worth of talent and they did jack shit...
Only one team will win the comp this year... and there are plenty of teams who spent big on recruitment and wont win the comp...
Everyone wants us to sign every player who becomes available... its not possible in this day and age. Every player we missed out on, i assure u a number of other clubs also missed out on, part and parcel of the game dude.
As for players wanting to play for any team because of the history of the club, PLEASE WAKE UP TO URSELF, players want the cash, that simple.

He officially starts 1 November, however Mary has mentioned he will be involved in the current review.

Peter osullivan coached the 1996 fleg side that won the comp that year, he is good at finding talent, the brown paper bags help though.

U would hope so, there is no point signing him with his history if you are going to restrict him.
