The horse you like 'Merion" should make a good horse in the Autumn,it wobbled around the turn like a weirdo in the Guineas and still ran home for 6th,once it learns to stop being a dummy it will go well.

Yer he is still a big baby, he lost a stack of ground when he came around the turn did very well to run where he did.

He's nommed for the Derby I wonder if they will head that way with him?

I thought Chivalry went okay..He has looked like he has been looking for a trip this prep..

Also talk that Godolphin may run Sweynesse in the Cox Plate..

To my eye I don't think Sweynesse ran the 2000 right out, coming round the bend I was honestly thinking how much is this going to win by. He went straight past First Seal who was getting scrubbed up before the turn but on the line she was back in front of him again. They both got wind burn by Hampton Court regardless

Panzer Division did make it a true staying test but the Cox Plate similarly being a high pressure test will be the same.

Chivalry never had a hope where Bossy had him, good run under the circumstances.

Some shocking rides on Saturday, some jockeys are just so happy to sit back of their horses draw wide no matter how slow they are going up front. No wonder a 50 yr old pumper continually pulls their pants down.

With the cleaner in it won't be a year for the 3 yr olds, it will be a true tough 2040m, Fawkner is the one to beat.

If Adelaide runs in the Cox Plate he just wins, can run 2400m so when the pressure goes on he has the staying power, has run in multiple countries already and has always run well so i don't see why he won't acclimatise to Australian conditions and run his best down here, showed in America that he can race up near the pace and handle the tighter turning tracks.

Fair dunkim gee up is this horse doesn't sit 2nd or 3rd behind the Cleaner and than go bang in the straight.

I think if he draws well Sacred Falls is close to a certainty

Im a bit concerned about the Caulfield Stakes form, the Sacred Falls,Fawkners,Happy Trails,Criterions etc etc only finished a couple of lengths in front of Dissident(who can't run 2000m and who also bled)

Bit early to say if Dissident doesn't run 2000m, only had 2 goes at the trip one was on a bog track and he bled in the Caulfield stakes. But take your point on a horse that can run 2400m the Cleaner will make it a tough staying test, thats why i like Fawkner i think the race will be no place for a 3 yr old this year.

Adelaide is by Galiderpio, they don't run an inch in the Southern Hemisphere.

Also nothing ever has come from or been named after Adelaide. It wins by a nose over Canberra as the most boring place in the country.

Galiederpo's Aussie progeny were aids riddled, luckily this one was bred in the Northern Hemipshere where his progeny don't catch the aids

True dat,ole mate Fawkner will handle the Cox Plate pressure being a Caulfield Cup winner, his stamina should help him when the Cleaner sets up a 800 length lead and some of the others wilt under the pressure

Lucia Valentina is weighted to win and is probably the best Aussie hope, query on her getting the distance and will probably be unders.

I've already loaded up on the jap horses at juicy odds at the start of the spring.
