I'd doubt you'd sign too many current SOO reps where their final two years of their contract is less than $300k, regardless of age.

Whatever we are paying Watmough in years 3 or 4, and no matter how conditional it is (i.e. whether the match payments/bonuses part is more important in those years, whether there's an option involved, whether the final year is in fact a means of guaranteeing what might be a post-retirement payout......think about it guys), gotta remember that the cap will be higher in 2017/2018.

I'm glad I've got the entire offseason to bring myself to cheer for Watbro. I think the signing, but not sure I like the man himself. Had the same "issues" with Chrissys signing though, and I got over that come round 1.

No, this club is very close to me and my family. I support this club religiously.
I'm not saying everything this club does is great ( i was very critical of years we sacked DA and Kearney years) but i think in the last one and a half years (yes including the Ricky clean out) the club has been getting it right more often than not.
But certain people will continue to judge the club based on those 2010-2012 years.

But continue to be negative, its clearly what you enjoy

Honestly if you think squad has any chance of being a threat next season you are kidding yourself. Honestly how can anyone who is a fan be happy we have re-signed Paulo??? On two years no less. I think BA did a great job this year and am excited about some of the young blokes coming through but lets be honest our recruitment has been laughable so far. Watmough is exactly what we need but for 4 years???? i have no doubt we threw massive overs to get him to come over. Takarangi is a good first grader but i fail to see anything else to get excited about especially after we have lost the best Parra player in a generation.

The rest of the squad are risks, gambles, also rans and injury prone hacks. Yay team!!

Our most talented players were all already at the club though, and most of them are no older than 22. This is due to the excellent work done on junior recruitment and retention in 2011 and 2012. These new buys were brung in to support them.
