A f**king disgrace if true. No more compassionate bullshit. The NRL need to knock this crap on the head. May as well let the cat out of the bag on the Barba story as well if he's now coming back to Sydney.

Every situation is different... The NRL and clubs would be stupid to make blanket judgements.

You blokes think it's his decision to leave the Bronc's?

Creepin Jesus has left him no choice.

It was his actions that lead him going to Brissy so he can suck this up and cop whatever comes at him. He clearly stated that he needed to leave Sydney to be with his family. His family just happened to be in Brissy. Brisbane were "compassionate" enough to pay compensation to Canterbury as well as a new contract and an upgrade beginning in 2016. It's not his decision that he has to leave Brisbane but it is his decision to move back to the place he told everyone he had to get out of.

Depends how much bs you can spin with your situation doesn't it. The compassionate bs has been abused by some. Needs to be stamped out.

Like I said... Every situation is different.

Your speaking from the point of view of someone on the outside who has no real knowledge of the situation.

While I agree that there needs to be safeguards in place to prevent abuse... It's not a black and white issue which the NRL can 'stamp out'.

These are human beings we're dealing with here, there's no such thing as black and white when your dealing with people.

We've already had a number suicides from the young kids who have been coming up in the game, and while I'm not suggesting that each situation is THAT drastic... some of these kids are under a heap of pressure both on and off the field.

Sometimes the clubs will make a decision for the betterment of player instead of the club.

What I don't understand is why everyone gets all upset when one of these young guys request a move home... When it happens all the time with older players... I mean just this week the Warriors released Jason Bakuya on compassionate grounds... Yet no one has been upset about it.

Including Warriors fans - and that's the difference. It's more of a fan issues than player issue.

If one team is perceived to lose big and another one gains big (especially if it's one of the more hated teams) then it's a big deal. Warriors letting go of a player the fans aren't fussed on to a team who most don't rate a chance in 2015 is not going to draw much ire.

I believe those in charge at the player's club would know very well what the players circumstances are. They would be aware of the situation in question and whether or not it is genuinely compassionate or a direct result of the players indiscretions or poor behaviour off the field. If it's that latter case, tough f**ken luck.

As far as homesickness for some players go, especially QLDers - toughen the f**k up.

Don't know about the other two, but when Warriors released Bakuya on compassionate grounds it was stated he was returning to the Sharks.
