What a non story, two mates discussing their futures. The Titans have made no secret about chasing Gagai so it's ok for recruitment depts to talk to players but not mates. And what's this got to do with Manly anyway?
Thing is, if it was just a call to Gagai this wouldn't be an issue. That type of thing happens all the time, they're mates, having a chat, whatever...no issue there.
However Gidley revealing there's been more Knights players approached changes it from DCE just trying to get a mate to swap clubs with him next year to more of a real recruitment effort he's doing for the Titans while still under contract at Manly.
I can guarantee you that at the Knights if something gets to the stage where even Matt Gidley finds out about it (the same CEO that didn't even know the Mata'utias had signed letters of intent elsewhere) then it's a real issue.
The little prick has already f**ked up things at Manly. Apparently that wasn't enough though. Has to cause issues for other clubs as well.
