Just listening to a triple m podcast where he had some strong feelings about the Warriors players attitudes.

It got me thinking... He thinks he's got a good year left in him.

I'm not a big fan of his personally... But I actually think the Warriors would do very well to bring him over for a season or two.

Just to add some steel and attitude to a young pack.

Thoughts??

I agree he's a douche... But he would add something to the Warriors that they seriously lack.

What would they lose??

What was his thoughts on the Warriors? can you summarize please?
He said the Warriors have always had loads of talent and play exciting football but the players lack the mentality to not get bored doing the simple things right. And to him he felt there wasn't the leadership at the club drumming that in to the players.

I think there's a lot of truth in that...

I just wonder what a year of Gallen would do for the club...

I believe the reason for that is that most of the Warriors come through the grades in Auckland and the standard of play is not of a high standard. There are about 30 clubs in Auckland spread across three divisions, meaning the best players rarely play against each other. Compare that with Brisbane prior to the Broncos. Eight semi professional clubs, three rounds of football then the top five play off meant the best players were playing against each other on a regular basis. And that wasn't just A grade, that mentality filtered down to 13 and 14 year olds and those young kids are playing tough games most weeks and that is something NZ rugby league doesn't have yet.

I'd take him as a prop and capt
I'd put him in the middle and let him do his thing shoring up the middle of the field.

I wouldn't give him the captaincy though... And if tell him to stay the f**k away from first receiver.

TBH... He could be dangerous for Shaun Johnson... At times it seems like Johnson is already reluctant to get himself involved in the game at key moments... Throw in to the mix a guy like Gallen who's always itching to get his hands on the football I could see Johnson disappearing again...

I know this is just a hypothetical question but why would you say no thanks? The Warriors are good enough to turn down signing some of the more effective players in the game?

If the opportunity came about the Warriors would be wise to jump on it without blinking.

Don't think that opportunity would ever arise though.

1) don't rate him
2) we have a halfback
3) price - wouldn't be worth what it would cost to get him
