Why would a team with Hodkinson, Reynolds and Mbye as halves options look at Luke Walsh? Even the maniac Josh Reynolds would be an assett more often than Walsh.

He has a good game every month or so, but usually against awful teams where anyone else would have had a good game also.

If Des does sign him and can get him playing consistent footy, he deserves coach of the year for sure.

I am far from a Walsh fan, but this just isn't true IMO - Walsh may not perform every week to the standard he can, but at least he wont gift the opposition points from stupid penalties and errors.

I doubt very much that Sandow would stray that far away from home. He had a very difficult time settling in when he first came to Sydney for this reason and he travels back home every chance he gets mid season. Something that would be very difficult for him to do from the UK.

Can't really see it happening for that reason.

Hodkinson is going. Des will pair him with a running 5/8th unlike we got with him

It is is true, then I applaud Des for at least trying something.

Any reasonable fan would recognise the current form of the Dogs halves is a big problem.

Walsh may not bee a world beater, but he may be an improvement on what the Dogs currently have.

It may look like bad planning, but in the case of Hodkinson it seem like a case of one injury too many.... at a minimum he looks months away from reasonable form.

And the issues with Reynolds are well documented ....
