Yep, he was never going anywhere else. Just using media to get what he wanted.

Best centre at the club, as if they were going to lose him.

It's such a shame the way Lawrence's career has panned out. Understandable given the nature of the injury he copped, but he was a very good centre in his prime.

We have very little depth in the backs and need a quality centre above all now. Would've loved Simona or Roberts but that's dead and there not much more available. If I had my way we would use our English link to get Kallum Watkins, but I don't think Leeds cares about what I want.

Myles could elongate his career more with the Seagles than any other club imo, they like independently driven players who'd shed blood for their fellows . . . should have 1% embroidered on their jerseys

Seems to be a real confidence player. When his side is flying he looks the goods... But when they're not travelling so flash he seems to drop his bundle...and more importantly, drop the ball - his hands are shocking at times a la Anthony Dropmough...

never justified the hype IMO. He is no Tim moltzen that's for sure. Now there's a real talent.

You're kidding. Lawrence at his best was probably the most all-around centre in the game, considering his defensive ability, speed, ability to set up the winger and his strength.

Right now he's a plodder at best and should be dropped, but that doesn't mean he wasn't once very good.

Lawrence showed as much potential in his early days as some of the great players when they were starting out, pity that he contracted a bad dose of shit happens . . . like Malaria, it is never far away

You're right. We was phenomenal in both good games he has played. Just a shame that he's lived off the memory of both those games ever since.

He was a very good player, injuries are a merkin. He was neck and neck with Jennings for a centre spot before the injuries. Sheenius even picked him for the roos.

From 2009-2011 Lawrence was close to the best center in the game. The horrible hip injury completely destroyed him. He has no pace, no movement and zero confidence. Such a shame, he seems like a real top bloke. The move to the backrow is probably a last ditch attempt to save his career.

Now you are overating him. He was never better than Hodges and imo Jennings always had him. Shit GI was still playing centre back then.

Yeah that's overating him. He never hit his potential which was huge. I thought Jennings and Lawrence would be the Roos long term Centre pairing post Hodges. I think at his best he was comparable to where Dylan Walker is right now. Very good but definitely not as good as Lyon, Jennings, Whare and maybe Morris.
