Benji is doing more than fine, its the rest of the squad that needs to find form, when our forwards are being aggressive and hunting as a pack, our dummy half is actually creating threat, and the squad stops dropping balls.. we will be a completely different team.

Widdop im happy to move, said that a year ago, but I think youve got it wrong if you think Benji is remotely our biggest problem.

I respect the opinion of every Dragons supporter but I'm astounded by the criticism of Benji while Widdop gets a free pass. He (Widdop) has been very poor. In that game vs the Shonkies when most of the team was out, Widdop, far from being the best as would have been expected but was easily the worst player on the field.

Benji or Widdop are not the problem.

Forwards win matches.

The following have gone missing.

Ah mau
De Belin
Frizzel
Cooper
Thompson
Merrin

Only one that can hold his head up high is Creagh.

IMO Widdop looks frustrated and maybe he does want to head back home and Dragons wont let him go?

Who really knows.

Said this before...we have a no name forward pack and it was supposed to be a weakness this year. For most part they have all played above themselves and held their own.

Our playmakers are supposed to be our strength but how many flowing backline movements do we see each week? How many balls were hitting the turf yesterday?? There is clearly a problem at training...what it is , who knows?

Widdop reminds me of Barrett - not a smart footballer at all.
Benji would be much better at second receiver playing off a half decent halfback.

Ah Mau has been one of our best all year.
He seems to be an easy target for criticism.
Cooper recently has played 80 minutes and averaged 55 tackles prior to yesterday.

Thommo, Friz and JDB seem to be busted or at best missing game play.
Yep, we have issues, but tio blame LAM and MC is just not warranted.

I have big hopes on Hutchinson. He must be our long term half.

I don't. I haven't seen much in him to suggest he's a gun at all. Sure in lower grades but he's not overly fast or powerful. Has some skill for a tall guy but doesn't have a big attacking weapon. Another junior who we will continue to over rate.

Like Crook only he is smaller , can't defend as well and just as slow.

What one v knights and we are back on track. What does that achieve or prove ,it proves we are poor
Mary must be crazy if he thinks def is ok,halves run sideways but i dont think our outside backs can penetrate anyway.
Even Mary bunji and widdop surely can see this or can they
Bingo,We have probably the weakest centres & wingers going around.None of them could run through tissue paper or bruise a grape in defence. All the pre-season hype surrounding Aitken was so far off the mark,He looks like a small backrower playing in the centres with limited attacking skills & heavens knows we've had our share of them in the Price era.Peter M looks like a good back up option who is hot & cold.Farrell made more breaks then them combined in his time there.Left wing well who knows whats happening there & sadly Nighty looks to coming to the end of his time(courage can only take you so far).Benji & Duges would be the only two who worry the defence. We are unfortunately only a team of toilers who play above their weight at times with too much of the same.Again last night in their 20 on the 4th tackle & Cooper takes a settler with no thought of doing anything different while they wait for the big play on the last too easy for the good defences.:?

The quality of outside backs needs to improve but I'd be looking at what's happening inside of them

Indeed. Both our centres have shown that, given space to move, they can cause some damage. Infortunately, a combination of forwards getting pounded due to one out shit, halves that mostly crab sideways and an attacking structure with poor timing and speed, they show nothing.
