Re the Gordon article, he is on a one year deal and at 32 obviously keen to secure a couple more years. His goalkicking will be a vital addition, and his motivation should be high. We don't need another Hayne, now that we have Foran.

And Kenny should just stfu... stop being a media hog and let Arthur chose the team the way he wants.

hindy111, I think you're right re Tepai and Manu and Gower. Not sure who will start between Tepai and Manu, but I imagine it will be much closer than many think.

Paulo, Peats, Mannah, Scott, Moeroa, Watmough. bench: Wicks, (hooker: King, Pritchard or Degois?), Ma'u, ?? (Pauli, Edwards, Gower etc).

Manu starts for mine, mainly because Tep play on an edge or in the middle if needed. And Manu has been out most consistent edge runner the last two years.

I think Ma'u starts over Tepai, don't forget Tepai was dropped to Wenty for a few weeks by Arthur last season.

For me Gower, Watmough and Edwards can all cover lock (or middle forward if we must). I can only see two of them getting spots in the 17 each week. Edwards missed a season, and the other two can do stints in the "front row" rotation, so I'm guessing there will be space for Gower at least on the bench. Great to have choice.

Alvaro, Edwards, Pauli, Terepo miss out at full strength?

I don't think Wicks is as certain as a top 17 starter as some think. I reckon the bench props are between Álvaro / wicks / Gower and maybe Pauli / hasson as the outsiders. It wouldn't surprise me if BA choose Gower over wicks ( assuming Álvaro gets a spot but it's no guarantee), because he is a better defensively and can play middle and edge.

I would start Moeroa from the bench with Manu starting, he is still young and could help with his development in coming on when the game has opened up a bit - little less pressure on him.
