i hope so. for souths to keep him for 2017, that would probably have to be the case.

good players like dylan can't expect their club to release them when it's so late in the year, and all the better players are already signed. souths should just keep him for 2016 since he is already signed, and offer him a new contract starting from 2017, which would be for more money than what he is earning now. if he refuses the new contract starting from 2017, then so be it, but at least that would give the Club suitable time to find a good replacement

I think you would find he is leaving this year. It's better for players to ask for a release instead of the club moving him on. This allows the club to free as much money as possible.
