Well you'll have to hire a hit-man to take out most of the NSW Origin administration. Including Daley because after Game 3 this year he said that Pearce will be selected next year again. Roosters got the Minor Premiership and as far as the admin are concerned that will be the justification why The Golden Child will be selected.

Anyway, Gallen will be retiring and Pearce will be the next NSW Captain. Then you'll never get rid of him. No matter, hear that! No matter how bad he plays, he will be selected.

Your real problem lies in the people who do not take to the field on Origin night.

Interesting to see with Dugan likley moving to center for saints if Daley than picks him there. Daley loves him at fullback but with our uncreative halves we need a play making option in the 1. Duagn would be a great fullback for QLD but not NSW.

1. Tedesco
2. Ferguson
3. Dugan
4. Jennings
5. Morris
6. Maloney
7. Sezer
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Tamou
11. Graham
12. Cordner
13. Gallen

14. Austin/J.Bird
15. Frizzell
16. Klemmer
17. Vaughan

The likes of JMoz, Hopoate, Hoffman, Scott etc simply need to go. They offer nothing at this level anymore. Picking guys like Cordner and Jackson on the bench and giving them 25mins is geniused. They are 80 mins players, if youre going to pick them (and Jackson wouldnt be near my team) than start them and play them 65-80 mins. You dont need two back rowers on the bench, I dont care if your 20 best players are edge forwards its completely stupid.

I'd like to see NSW go back to the 2 hookers with a true utility on the bench. Craig Wing was always brilliant there for us and could turn a game in an instant when he came on. Plus whilst his defence has been great, Farah has offered little in attack over the last few years. Austin would be the best guy for this role. He is all energy and a 25min cameo from him would be a hell of a lot more dangerous than Josh f*cking Jackson.

.

Unlikley. My money would be on Boyd Cordner. Personally I'd like to see it go to Wade Graham but they have to actually pick him first. Hell knowing Daley he probably see's Josh Dugan as the next captain, or Fulton will just promise it to whoever Manly are trying to sign that year.

I can understand people wanting to see tedesco in the side. But how do you leave Dugan out completely? He was one of, if not the outright best player for the blues last year.

Whether he plays centre this year in club football, and how he goes, will be interesting.

And if you think he should play wing I'd suggest going back and having a look at how he went there for Australia.

To be fair though, it doesn't matter f**k all as long as they pick that dumb merkin Pearce at half. Even hayne needed him out of the way to get the blues a series win.

My side (the ones where I provide two options are for where I think early season form ahould determine things.

1. Tedesco
2. BMoz
3. Jennings
4. Dugan
5. Ferguson
6. Austin/Maloney
7. Sezer/Hodkinson
8. Woods
9. Farah

13. Gallen
14. Peats/Cook/Austin??

Hayne was your best last year. Daley won because of the emphasis of having a spoiling side relying on the brilliance of Hayne to win in the big moments. He mistakenly thought he could go to a more expansive game this year, banking on the older qld team starting to get past their prime. It worked in game 2 but old 30 something's like Parker still had one electric performance in them. Future forward stars like klemmer and woods were too green to go with them in game 3. Too full of the overconfidence that having a leader like gal brings. Over the years he has had trouble admitting they were ever outplayed by a once in a generation champion team. He always went back to the'rub of the green' language. Klemmer seemed to believe his own hype after game 2 and couldn't dig deep enough to lift after half time in game 3. Where does Laurie go now? Qld minus hodges are another year older but you can't rest on that. Learn your lesson and pick again the spoiling types of 2014 and add 4 or 5 with youth and enthusiasm like woods, klemmer, and frizzell. Good luck.

It has always been curious to me how much emotional energy Queensland fans devote to Gallen. For some reason that escapes me, they desperately need to convince themselves that he really is quite shit, and need to remind themselves with great regularity.
