I suppose I should piss in the wind once again. It is, after all, the off season.

1. Matt Moylan or James Tedesco
2. Brett Morris
3. James Roberts or Michael Jennings
4. Josh Dugan
5. Blake Ferguson or James Roberts
6. Blake Austin
7. Aiden Sezer or Adam Reynolds
13. Trent Merrin
12. Wade Graham
11. Tyson Frizell
10. Paul Gallen (c)
9. Robbie Farah
8. Aaron Woods

14. David Klemmer
15. James Tamou or Andrew Fifita
16. Tyrone Peachy or Bryce Cartwright
17. Nathan Peats or Jack Bird or Mitch Rein or Ryan Hinchcliffe

I'd be inclined to tap Galen on the shoulder and get another one of our gun youngsters in there, but we all know that won't happen. I'd also be inclined to tap Wobbie, but who else do we have? Peats, Rein and Hinchcliffe are about it, unless we want to throw a youngster to the wolves. If Wade Graham gets snubbed again, the whole state should riot.

 Classic stuff Hutty.

The selectors have to treat 2016 with an open mind. After Game 3 last year, whatever incumbency existed was thrown right out the window and they've got to select the team on merit.

I don't have a concrete 17, but here's a list of players who didn't take part in 2015, that I'd be keeping a close eye on.

Blake Austin
Greg Bird
Jack Bird
Luke Brooks
Bryce Cartwright
Jack de Belin
Blake Ferguson
Dale Finucane
Tyson Frizel
Wade Graham
Ryan James
Luke Keary
James Maloney
Josh Mansour
Sione Mata'utia
Brett Morris
Matt Moylan
David Nofoaluma
Nathan Peats
Adam Reynolds
James Roberts
Aidan Sezer
Tariq Sims
James Tedesco
Joel Thompson
Tom Trbojevic
Paul Vaughan
Dylan Walker
Jack Wighton

That's a long list, and it could be even longer but it gives you an idea of the type of players NSW should be looking to bring in.

If only Luke Brooks knew how to f##king tackle.

Also add Shaun Lane, Junior Paulo, Kane Evans and Tyrone Peachy to that list.

in general nsw are really the easts/canterbury/stgeorge/manly blues. it takes a lot for selectors to look outside those teams

Johnston sucks, cordner sucks, Scott has become shit and watnough is shot. Maylan really isn't an impact player, would much rather prefer Josh Reynolds or Tyrone Peachey.

I never want to see Jackson and cordner near an origin Jersey again. Guys like Tariq Sims, Wade Graham and Tyson Frizell should be given a go. Might be a bit early but Bruce Cartwrighy and Shaun Lane could be blooded in as well.

Would Radradra even be illegible anyway?

Pending form. Watmough was playing injured last season, I expect him to bounce back hard. If he doesn't, put someone else in. Simple. Scott is solid as. Gallen Is the only one of my choices I'm unsure about. It might be about time to leave the "Gallen era" behind. See how he's playing this season.

ive seen a lot of people pick frizzell as a back rower. in the games ive seen he is much better at prop, do saints fans view him as more of an edge forward?

He played 2014 as a middle forward and didn't have a great year. Played this year on the right edge and had his best year so far.

I believe Matt Moylan should be given the 5/8th spot next year. He is going to be playing in the halves for Penrith next year I believe and now has 2 full seasons and a Country jersey behind him. He is someone who is always composed, can perform in a tight situation, set up points, can lift and control a team and isn't bad defensively. Future captain of his club too.

He's awful defensively. He doesn't really have a kicking game either.

You guys would be better off with Austin at 5/8.

I've seen him score points in big situations and he always strikes me as that guy that can come up with a big play at a big time like Hayne did in 2014.

Moylan/Reynolds halves pairing would be mine if I had to have the team in now

Austin would make a good impact player

Well I guess one halves option has been taken off the table. Perhaps the selectors might be forced to take a punt on a young player with a bit of actual talent?

Nah, who I am kidding. Stand by for Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson.

Sadly, I think you're probably right.

Still an improvement on Pearce though.
