Both teams were always under $10 from the moment betting opened and more than $10 was never offered for either team throughout the season.

Show me the proof other wise

The cowboys lost there first 3 and blew out too over 15's.... They had a slump late in season and blew out again past double figures.

I don't have proof just a good memory. I know 100% that souths-roosters -dogs where your three favourites. Dogs started the season at about
8 - 1..... I even think the panthers may of been shorter then the cowboys.

I am sure few others on here could back me up. If you think the cowboys where under 10-1 after 3 losses too start the season than your brain dead. I even recall them being over 10s after rnd 26 going into the finals. They had lost 3/5 and only beaten a banged up warriors and Titans side.

Thanks el diablo - So that's proof. You have the tie 7th/8th fave at start of year win it. After 3 losses they where more than likely around 20- 1 .

Hindy111 wins - chipmonk - loses the battle. He retreats - Hindy111 is victorious and remains undefeated.

Agreed.

Hopefully the Bombers will be more of a success than the Crushers, though that shouldn't be hard.

The Crushers were actually fairly well set up off the field. Had a leagues club making a mill plus a year in profits which at the time was good and a fair bit of the best local talent from around SEQ. The reason they disappeared was Broncos negotiated them out of the Super League peace agreements.

Just a shame that they were absolutely shytehouse on the field and fairly poorly supported. Two reasonably important ingredients for success.

Crushers leagues club was my local several years back. My wife and I watched all of Parras games there in 2003 and 2004 (apart from the ones we went to). We didn't have Foxtel back then. Tiny, dinky little venue.

Latest I have heard is:
- Hiku to Penrith
- Lafai to Titans
- Roberts to Broncos

Parra and St George get no one.

So we have money to spend on an outside back. Four (at least) became available. We may sign none. Not a great result, is it?

Would be great to snag that last center, but we have options at least.

No Morgs is way down the list, you shit stirring merkins.

Might create a pathway for emerging players like Tyrell Fuimaono or John Falou (if he gets a rocket up him).

Missing Hiku would be a shame and I admit I was confident we would land him initially but the Penrith offer totals close to $500k ($430k + use of their car allowance) a year - that is prime coin for a centre/winger. We have tread down the path of paying too much for okay-to-good players before and while Hiku falls on the good side of that scale I am happy to let him travel further down the M4 in this case.

There are still options for us as for what to do with the cap space. We can sit on it through the opening exchanges of the 2016 season and look to pick up someone prior to June 30 or extend and restructure guys like Norman, Junior and Peats and top them up into the 2016 cap.

You can't have too good of a memory as the Broncos were 2nd or 3rd favourites for 12 months

Back to the original point of the argument on you claiming their is 13 premiership contenders, I don't think there is a team paying more than $11 who is a any chance of winning the comp in 2016.
