You'll see. Just wait........

There are other guys ahead of Goolagong.

AJ will stay on the wing.

Goodwin at centre whether you like it or not.

Doyen agrees with me.

There where guys ahead of Walker and AJ before they made there debuts too mate as both where NYC players just like Goolagong.

I think we need more in attack with our centres something Goodwin doesn't offer.

Doyen is the same guy who said Peats was a better hooker then Issac and we would never win a premiership with Sutton at 5/8 which we did.

There are a few guys who shouldn't be playing first grade next year Turner needs some time in the NSW Cup, Tyrell does not make enough metres for a starting prop something I think we will need a lot more of with the change of interchange, Goodwin never been a fan of his gets found out in defence when he rush in and doesn't really offer much in attack

I meant to say Goodwin to play in the first 10-12 rounds then maybe get replaced.

Cody could be turned into a centre.

Dont start Doyen on Sutton!! Shhhhhhh.........

r20, why oldfield on the wing only half way through the season? i don't think gray automatically gets the wing spot. i believe it is, or should be, one of the spots in the team where there is competition. if oldfield plays better than gray in the pre season games then he should get that wing spot imo

if madge is thinking of using cody walker in the centres later in the year, then cody would have to play centre in nsw cup because it's a position he would have to get used to, especially in defense, and i don't think madge would want to move him from playing in the halves in nsw cup incase there is an injury to keary or reynolds

10 to 12 games is to long IMO we need to sign someone or bring up a young gun. Cody I would have him in the halves with Reynolds

I reckon Oldfield should get a spot on the wing considering he's a pure winger. Can't stand having centres there.

Absolutely hate the idea of Cody at centre. He's a five eighth. Can't remember the last time he played in the centres. Keep it to Auva'a, Goodwin, Gray, Olive, Hunt or Crichton.

I think Crichton and Musgrove will have spots in the 17 by year's end, most likely both on the bench.

Even though we missed out on Roberts the squad we have now excites me. Reminds me a bit of the 2013 squad with a few new players.

Sutton was injured towards the end of 2014 & when Keary took over the team blossomed. The cancer was removed & things got moving.

Last time I looked at the GF team list from 2014 Keary was 5/8.

Peats is a much better No.9 than you were giving him credit at the time & he showed it in spades until he was injured with the Eels! Was even being talked about as a SOO bench utility.

These are the facts Issac is a much better hooker then Peats would ever be, Sutton was injured at the back end of 2015 not 2014 and Keary and Sutton shared the role as 5/8 because Keary went into dummy halve when api went off for a rest as he isn't a 80min player

2014----you're right,JS was DEMOTED from 5/8 when Keary returned from injury.Madge knew that JS wasn't the one!

And what a monstrous difference that made to the side--as I said;it was like a cancer had been removed--Sths went to a new higher level.

That's the moment when Sths suddenly realised they had a chance to win the comp!

An entire new mentality & approach to the game was evident.

JS is a class act--I would put him still in our top 5!!

But I could never,& never will come to grips with a 108 kg,slow-moving 5/8.

Surely we can do better than that!!

He is a backrow forward & probably has always been---whoever put him at 5/8 in the first place must have been in a desperate situation!

I think if fit enough Gray will get first crack at the wing spot.

On second thoughts come about Round 4 or 5 Oldfield will be in the team. Gray will become injured I reckon.

Apparently Aaron has been training but with heavy strapping on his knee. Apparently the knee still is causing issues.

Alien our depth in the backs is ordinary.

Hymel Hunt will have to play for us and that worries me.

Olive worries me too.

I can't see us signing a back.

Madge could end up just sticking with Goodwin too.

Goodwin is capable of holding his spot but that is it. Having a reliable player on the fringes, a bloke who can find the try line, defend well enough and be an "old head" in the back line isn't a bad thing. Penrith had David Simmons and he was your no frills player and boy did I feel better having him out on the field. Safe, consistent and predictable.

Attack can win you matches but defense keeps you in it.
