i just had an idea. maybe another "outside the box" idea, and that is a backline looking like this:

fullback: cook
wingers: aj and auva'a
centres: inglis and nielsen/hunt/goodwin
halves: reynolds and keary

thoughts???

I just don't see Madge doing that at all.

It just won't be happening.

It wouldn't even have entered Madge's mind and probably never will.

I think it'd be too hard for Cook at fullback too.

Auva'a would be too slow for the wing.It is possible we may have to move Gi to centre at some stage if we continue to struggle in that area,but who goes to fullback I dont know.I dont think it will be Cook even though he has played there in the past.

I don't think Madge or the players have that same mind set. I think every club has that mind set of winning the comp every year if they didn't they shouldn't be in the NRL.

R20 and Southsport I agree with you
I think teams who win the comp get pulled apart fairly quickly due to higher offers salary cap etc
I also believe it takes a few years to get every position strong and put the team mentally and physically in a position for a shot
We are 2 or 3 spots from that this year
We need a fast hulking winger
A gun centre
A touch ass forward to compliment Sam
You never know with injuries etc lets get behind the boys and enjoy this years ride

My head says that we are in a rebuilding phase but my heart is hoping that some of the fresh, new building bricks we've added turn to gold & a miracle occurs!!

You never know how young players will go in top company----- but can we win the comp??
