Cheers R20 and Bens.

Great to see Clarky bulk up I reckon he could start in the front row if he wanted.

With the outside backs I'm so disappointed Dylan left but that's history now. I reckon all of our backs can do a job and we might just find a diamond in the rough with some of the younger/inexperienced guys.

Doyen I like the look of Brown, hopefully he doesn't get restricted by Madge's bash and barge approach, his offload could help break open a game.

I like the look of Samisoni Langi when i've seen him play, it's just unfortunate he hasn't been given an opportunity because of the depth at the Roosters. Might get to see him play in Souths colours which would be interesting.

True that but I think Sutton is on the left side to help out Keary, whereas Reynolds can control the right side by himself.

Personally i'd rather have Sam roaming about than being confined to one area than have Sutton roaming around. I think it suits Sutton having a side he can call his own as opposed to being given more responsibility.

don't forget that in attack, gi is often on the left side (inside the centre), especially when attacking the try line

Agree here--he has shown some classy glimpses of ballplaying!

He will have to have the leash loosened though to try some off-loads.

yeah hopefully madge sees that the team needs to be less predictable in attack..

I expect him to improve this year. Last year he got a taste of first grade and will hopefully have learnt a few things.

he is looking fitter, and he isn't a forward who is afraid of passing the ball to someone who is in a better position

clark looks like he had put on some muscle.

Yep.

This season I expect him to come off the bench into the front row. He will kind of be doing what Grant did. Obviously Clark is better.

I like Clarky. Always gives his all. He is solid.

Yeah he can play second row or lock too.

Alien did you know his daughter is called Gloria. He said the reason behind it is Glory Glory:cool:

He's off contract though at the end of 2016. He turns 27 in the middle of the year.

I hope we re-sign him. Every team needs these kind of no frills players.

You never know.

You're thinking a bit outside the box though.

I see Madge putting Sam at lock. You never know though.

I know why you want Sutto at lock. Just can't see Madge doing that. I expect Madge to play Sutto in the 12.

Come Round 1 and 2 one of us can say I told you so:lol:

in regards to my line up, carter/clark would play some time at lock if sutto needed a rest, and would also play some time in the second row when grevs or turner needed a rest. after about 20 mins mcinnes would either move to the interchange or play in the second row, and cook would come on as dummy half

still a crap back line what ever way you shuffle it its probably the most uninteresting back line ive witness in 6 decades at souths, you would have to have rocks in your head to lose dylan walker and use either- gray or oldfield or nielsen or even goodwin in his place what a joke back line its become and when i see madge ile let him know it!its an absolute disgrace i see it even as worse than the reddy era recently.tuquiri was gold wasn't he!!!!and he was an old man and thats saying something bring back lote even on one leg lote is better than gray, oldfield, and neilsen all put together...

i just had an idea. maybe another "outside the box" idea, and that is a backline looking like this:

fullback: cook
wingers: aj and auva'a
centres: inglis and nielsen/hunt/goodwin
halves: reynolds and keary

thoughts???
