He wasn't awful. Actually did some good stuff. But I also don't think he's played well enough, consistently, to be demanding top dollar. His current rep is from playing great in the nines. That's an indicator of what he's capable of, but he's got to do it in the NRL more often.

We're addressing today's game and not his cap value or what he did in the 9's or the past 4 games.

He was one of our better players today. I gave him 7 out of 10 today. De Gois got an 8.

A 4 point deduction s not a big deal... so long as the merkins don't give away a game with a piss poor kick to the opposition on the 4th tackle with a minute to go :fist:
 2 points from 5 games is right where we want to be, good one Hages.

Personally, I don't think Norman is worth more than $700k, ideally $650k.

Mrs Casper The Ghost reckons $500k and she has an expert eye.

Can I say that I'm really not that impressed with Foran so far.

I know that play down the right side today was nice but they're just too few and far between, and the gap he left for Wallace to go over for dummy half was disgraceful.

And I don't want to hear anything about "time" - it's been 4 games now and that's more than enough time to click.

No doubt he'll get better as the season goes on but, really, for a $1m+ man, I'm getting more disappointed by the week.

Also, we didn't deserve to be in front, today, anyways. That pass was a mile forward.

Agreed. I reckon Norman has been average too.

Kind of expected this performance today unfortunately.
We have had a massive start to the season, and we looked very flat last week.
The attack is still woeful and is now a serious concern I think

Yeah some of the passes Foran and Norman threw went to ground, and that's happened a few times this year. Bit of a concern really.

Today was frustrating. Some of the decisions made the referees and the bunker were questionable. Had that first try been awarded Parra certainly would've gathered momentum, even though they did score the first score it took a lot of out of them to get there.

Even those play the ball penalties. Penrith got theirs at crucial times for them yet everytime Parra were slowed down from their own line, the referee's let it go.

In saying that, to concede two tries from a position where they should've won it, is simply not good enough.

Penrith looked like they wanted it more in the final 10 min.

It just keeps happening, same thing happened against Sharks and Canberra, and now Penrith.

They've gotta learn to finish teams off. Like they did against the Dogs in Round 3.

Yep. My thoughts are that our forwards are for the most part making metres and winning the ruck. Our halves look lost and our backs are too flat. Norman threw the ball to the ground twice today and Foran once, usually behind our players. Thats embarrassing. Also our halves are crowding each other at times

2 hours later and still angry - Penrith wanted to win, we didnt. The luck and calls seem to go thier way at the right times but we got what we deserved

It is like the players read about our defence and thought that we would be a funsls team on that. Anyone who thinks we are a title threat is delusionsal

Norman and Foran were off and i am starting to worry about Foran. Paulo was good. Gordon and Clint stsnding back and letting Penruff scores summed us up

If they dont come out next Saturday all pumped up, i will be surprised

Some of the passes they are not throwing are just as concerning. Norman bombed at least 2 tries not passing. Once to a flying Jennings, the other to an unmarked Semi. But according to Casper he was a 7 out of 10 today

Back from the game and getting the head sorted out after a real disappointing result

The thing that stood out watching was the lack of cohesion from the halves, Foran didn't execute as well as expected and Corey while better made mistakes at pretty crucial times

With the game on the line, there seems to be not enough work done to lock the ball up and what the heck was going on letting Mansojr push through some weak defence late in the game giving momentum. That certainly needs some attention ahead of any more games

It was a game in the balance, and we can all admit the last kick was 50/50,but the defence seemed unable to dominate in any tackle , and only one of them was needed to stop the flow in that last set. By the way, are we allowed to say, Soward deserves a punch in the head about 10 times each game

Yep I noticed that too. He seemed afraid to pass a few times after he threw those balls to the ground

I'm just not sure why we are going right side so much, it's like they are avoiding our left side in attack and if we don't manage to score in the set send a kick high over to semi.
We just seem to be making quite a few silly/basic errors in attack.
The excuse of haven't had enough time together now needs to stop, we are up to round 6.
We are only 2 points behind first, so we can't complain too much, it's just getting very frustrating watching our class players get basically no ball in attack.
