If its true Peats is leaving, Im very disappointed. :(:x

He's been one our key players in the past few years and have improved our attack with his good dummy half plays and good decision making.

He was potentially gonna be one our best 9's for a long time.

Now the management has f***d us up and we need to either invest in another cheap hooker or keep Cameron King.

Maybe, maybe not.... As has been stated, BA might have been ready to let him walk in 2017 anyway...

Has to be said though that he is almost your quintessential BA type player. No nonsense, defensively sound, 100% effort game in game out, always know what to expect kind of guy.

Perhaps though BA showed his hand by extending Pritchard at the end of last season and also signing King over the off season. There seems to have been no move to re-sign/extend Peats' deal at any time in the last 12 months

My concern with De Gois is he's close to 32 I think, might only play this year and next year, but thankfully Pritchard who's played a few games this year is a good young and up and comer.

Havent watched many games for Wenty, anyone know how Cameron King goes??

Cam smiths 33 soon- Farrah + Ennis is 1 yr older then de gois.

De gois is 31 until december. He would play all of 2017 at age 32. I do not see this as a problem at all.

Only reason they didn't totally end our season is for ratings and gate takings.

And by shedding players, we are simply rolling over as the NRL wants.

I take it we are admitting guilt by shedding players? I was hopeful we were going to fight some or most of the 'dodgy tpas'. Guess that's out the window. Smmfingh

Yes we are admitting guilt by shedding players.

I suspect each time review of Peats' future almost always coincided with his absence from the field through injury. Of course, the injuries have almost always been sustained because of the level of commitment he displays in his play.

Well the press conference with Peats revealed nothing. It was just a standard interview they do each week.

Basically said he doesn't know what is happening behind the scenes but is looking forward to playing on Friday, loves being at parramatta and he has a contract until the end of the year.

it's a very sad day for the club when a young bloke who loves playing for us, representing us and even moved his young family in the area recently is forced out thanks to this whole mess..

thanks sharpy.

He had the nerve to look the members in the eyes and say confidently that we were cap compliant. It looks as though Peats is gone and not fault of his own but the 5 morons still want to hang around. How selfish are they?!

From this press conference reading between the lines, all the players want to play Friday night.

That's crap. It's not like we have 8 players that just played in the Aus v NZ game, as well as Hunt, Milford, Glenn and Roberts sitting at home. If we had a smart board who could tap into the legit TPA's that would be available in a business hub as large as Parramatta, we could easily have the side under the cap
Stop talking sense, I mean the massive amount of TPA's have allowed us to build this amazing squad. That extra 250k a year makes a massive difference. Thanks a lot Sharpy :)

We all owe you so much..........

Well to be fair what he said was that he's management team assured him that we were cap compliant...I suppose if you take the TPAs away we were compliant

Nice. Always pleasant Pou.
How many of those Leagues club members that vote do you think are voting just because they are members of the leagues club and they have nothing better to do?
I would say everyone that votes the PNRL board in does so because they are Parra fans or are part of the factions. Therefore the leagues club itself, other than having to be a member of it to be able to vote is irrelevant

You also have to be a member (for several years) to be able to run for the board.

Losing Peats is forgivable, losing Norman is not.
We all said the same about losing Junior, as long as we keep Normie and Peats. Now it's OK to lose Peats as long as we don't lose Normie.

Next Pou will be telling us all its ok to lose Norman as long as we don't lose Kelly......

Part of Peats' value (and therefore price) is that he is effective over 80 minutes. So playing him in a system that uses two hookers in the 17 makes part of his value redundant. It's like signing a second recognised goal kicker.

You obviously need redundancy but you don't want to pay too much for it.

It would be typical of this club, but don't worry we wil now be able to keep Kelly and get Morgs back.

If we're getting Morgs back, we may as well just f**k Jennings and Semi off, because they wont be seeing any ball with such a strike weapon on the other side of the field.
