Cody Walker might be a fullback option if Inglis is not playing there anymore and Johnston fails as fullback again

Cody kicks the ball into the legs of the opposition too often to be a good half. But he has a good running game. Is too small for centre. Maybe fullback is his go if he can catch bombs

Oldfield is the next option at fullback before Cody.

Traditional Clash to Rock North Sydney Oval

One of The Intrust Super Premiership’s fiercest rivalries will be renewed this Sunday at North Sydney Oval, when the North Sydney Bears take on north-side rivals, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in what promises to be a classic encounter.
Now the Rabbitohs feeder team at the game’s second tier level, the Bears are a proud Foundation Club, formed in 1908 alongside South Sydney and enjoy a long tradition of success at North Sydney Oval. For current Bears coach and his men, this Sunday’s clash against the Sea Eagles will be another chapter in a long and illustrious rivalry both on and off the field.
“It’s one of the game’s great rivalries obviously because of their proximity geographically, but there’s just so much history as well,” said Gardiner.
“There’s the Northern Eagles merger that didn’t last that ultimately meant that the Bears identity went missing for a time. Since then, we’ve built back up and we now play a significant role in South Sydney’s structures in the NSW Cup – or ISP as it’s now known.
“Because of the rivalry though, this weekend shapes as a huge game for us, the Club and fans alike.
“One of the things I really emphasise with our group is that we respect our history and we build to the future, so we all know that history, the players buy into it and are ready for a great game of footy.”
Gardiner urged as many Rabbitohs Members and supporters to head out to North Sydney Oval to experience watching a game at one of the code’s oldest serving venues, and with activations aplenty taking place around the footy, there’s plenty of reasons to be there and cheer on the boys.
“There’ll be rides, extra food stands, and a massive kick for cash,” said Gardiner.
“Someone’s going to be given the chance to kick for $10,000 on Sunday. That went off last year so it’s a great opportunity for fans to get involved and watch a great game of footy in the process.
“We’d love to see as many people as possible out there on Sunday to cheer on the boys and really see what we’ve been doing.
“It’s a special ground to be playing at and a real experience.”
The North Sydney Bears will take on the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles this Sunday at North Sydney Oval, with kick-off slated for 3pm.

Police investigating discovery of drugs in dressing room after NSW Cup match

Date June 6, 2016 - 2:43PM

Brad Walter

Sports Reporter

NSWRL officials have contacted police after drugs were discovered in a dressing room at Saturday's match between North Sydney Bears and Wyong Kangaroos.
A groundsman at North Sydney Oval found the drugs after the Intrust Super Premiership match and the discovery was reported to the NSWRL on Monday.
The police were immediately notified and are investigating the source of the drugs.
However, NSWRL officials are confident the drugs do not belong to any of the players involved in the match, which was won 30-4 by Wyong, who are a feeder team to Sydney Roosters.

The Bears are the feeder team for South Sydney in the NSW Cup.
It is believed the drugs may be linked to a theft in the North Sydney area last week but the NRL integrity unit is also expected to investigate their discovery to ensure no player are involved.
The incident comes amid growing concerns about the use prescription drugs by NRL players and charges against Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman for possession of MDMA capsules and prescription muscle relaxants at The Star last month.

Gosiewski is named for the Bears.

What did he do wrong to get dropped from first grade???

I wouldn't have dropped him.

Gosiewski is unlikely to make it in the NRL long term. Is too small at 95kg

vs Dragons he made 39 metres, 9 tackles in 30 minutes which is a poor return

vs Eels he made 68 metres, 14 tackles in 45 minutes in an OK debut

So he has had one poor game and one OK game. Nothing to get excited about and Maguire is right to drop him back to NSW Cup

George Burgess is back it sounds like, and will get some game time before the next Rabbitohs first grade game. Cook at fullback is interesting.
Alien I will be there against Broncs next Saturday.

We are in turmoil currently and the diehards will be out next week Saturday.

Are you gonna head out alien???

We have to take the good with the bad.
