This is only his second year, need to give him a fair chance. Once we resign guys like rein and benji, that would give some stability to work with. Mary is a better coach than JT, I frankly wouldn't swap him for anyone

Mary has made the decision to invest in players like McCrone, marketo, KFFL who simply aren't first graders but also have guys like havili and Milne who simply aren't given a fair go either ..... Poor selections rather than no one suitable is the bigger issue...

Yes that's it really isn't it...its not that we don't have some decent blokes waiting in the wings especially with Havili and Milne its just plain and simple s..t house selections ....how these blokes don't get a go ahead of some of our other plodders is beyond me ....I know we all confess to be keyboard experts but the powers to be don't know what their doing full stop

I can only assume you are related to him. He has zero support from Dragons fans. He has been coaching first grade since May 2014 and has taken the team backwards without a plan for the future. McGregor is up the creek without a paddle and he now knows it. He is very lucky we are broke. No offence to you but you are on your own.

No relation, last year we won 8/10, no one was complaining then

By now it must be clear to everyone concerned that Mary just is not up to it - he is a first grade coach.

For Gods sake Mary, resign. You've had a good chance to prove yourself but it was clear after 6 moths you were going to be a dud and are a dud.

I also support Mary. I think he went well last year given what we had and we don't have much better this year. I don't believe he is the sole reason guys like Widdop, Benji and Rein aren't performing.

They appoint Brian Smith 1991, in his first year the Saints finished in 6 position just missing out on the top 5, 1992/93 we finished 2nd making the GF with a no frills teams..so if Mary was going to be a top notch coach we would be comfortably sitting in the top 4!
Let history repeat with Tony Smith being appointed as head coach but this time winning back to back premierships!

I can remember sitting on the hill in 1990 and watching the Craig Young coached Dragons. They were terrible. I didn't think we could do worse then they bring him back into management and we get Price them McGregor. Who is worst? I don't know they are all dreadful, but what there can be no doubt about is that it's time for a Brian Smith like clean out just like happened when Young was shown the door. It's inevitable , the only thing to be decided is the timing. McGregor couldn't coach a dog to a tree for a leak. IMO he has lost them so badly they will be lucky to win another game this season . Forget the attack for the moment, two basic things we don't do. 1) come off the line in defence to restrict the oppositions go forward, nearly every set every team marches downfield 60/70 meters to be in an attacking position. 2) kicking game for field position. We don't have one. Can't get repeat sets, kick out on the full, kick straight down the fullback or wingers throat. If these two basic things were rectified we might at least have a change. The fact that every week the same thing happens shows how useless MacGregor is. To be honest I think he has lost the players.
