The Duel.

An example why American Westerns are the worst genre of all movies. Same shit....different characters. The goodie versus the baddie. Doesn't matter - gunfight, fistfight, Helena duel, pissing up a wall - it's all horses, guns, sleazy bars and violence.

Bone Tomahawk 8/10, someone on here recommended it. Great Western/horror genre bend
Was me

Kurt Russel has really found his niche
The grizzled old Sherrif/gunman etc is his perfect role .

Only bit of movie that had me going ..geez you're kidding.
Was how did he climb the cliff to the caves with a Gammy leg .
Other than that .very good western/ horror .

American Ultra. Surprisingly good action comedy with Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. About a stoner couple where the guy is "awoken" as a Jason Bourne type.

The Gift. Written, directed and starring Joel Edgerton. Wow, what a tense, creepy, interesting film. Really liked this one. Kept you guessing with twists all over the place. I highly recommend checking this one out.

One of those rare gems that doesn't need Violence, car chases etc
You just sit there & feel very very uncomfortable while watching .
Great movie
Well acted ..

Great recommendation cheers.

Russell was fantastic but each of the four gave strong performances, Matthew Fox was the surprise package.
Unfortunately the actress playing the wife was horrible.

I guess he crawled his way up the cliff, far fetched somewhat I agree but Wilson's committed acting helped make it plausible.

Ghostbusters (original) 7/10 - Very goofy, one movie premise, saved by committed performances from all the leads. Murray and Moranis playing themselves in full on improv mode, Akroyd hamming it up, Ramis and Atherton hilarious playing it dead serious, Hudson and Sigourney Weaver keeping it straight to add a tiny bit of realism. It all somehow worked.

There's a reason why the sequel was a big meh, the joke was never meant to be told twice.

Green room

A thriller/gore/horror

Nazis terrorising a punk band in a venue in the middle of the woods. Patrick Stewart was great as the leader of the nazis.

Any of Aussie friends seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople??

My cousin in Brissy told me all his Aussie mates gave seen it and absolute love it... I didn't think they would get the humour...

It's currently 100% on rotten tomatoes too...

And it made the top 100 of all time...

Really enjoyed it. Thought it was well acted and just a great family movie.

That's good you enjoyed it... It's absolutely killing it in the US... Search 'Wilderpeople' on Twitter and just shitloads of people going crazy over it...

Personally I think it's Taika's best... But I'm really surprised at how positive the reaction has been for it...

I'm interested to see how he is with a big budget action film like Thor Ragnarok.

I wasn't aware of the director when I seen it but after a bit of research after the film I was surprised to see he was doing Thor. I think he will do a great job.

What we do in the shadows is another good NZ film that I enjoyed.

Eye in the Sky :8/10

Excellent drama centering around Predator drone pilots and the politics around their use. Also dips into the morals of using such weapons and tactics in warzones on the other side of the country.

Much better than the shit one with Eathan Hawke, Good Kill
