He was probably heckling them, and telling them they were shit, everyone should buy the kid a beer, he's done us a huge favour, hope he's ok.
Let's rope a dope a few more of the losers - maybe we can get Doust, Mc Gregor and all the B grade signings into that nightclub next Saturday

No discipline on field no discipline off field. This reaction is inexcusable. I am sure they are frustrated with the leadership of the club including their coach who leads by example by way of being charge under the influence. So they exert their frustrations in this way. Imagine how the rest of the playing group feels I am sure they are equally as frustrated however they don't vent it the same way they just show up on game day say all the right things at pre match interviews for example we have trained hard all week spoke about where need to improve then turn up with the same attitude because they are not inspired to go out, play with confidence, chance their arm but in turn play dull boring football.

Love it, how good would that be if we could get them to lose their shit, and hit their own supporters, i don't reckon it would take much, id cop a dozen on the chin to see them gone.

I think it's a long stretch to compare what McGregor did at the start of the season.. Getting caught DUI the next morning to assaulting somebody at 5am.

If that was the example set then we would have a lot more cases of dragons being drunk and doing stupid things in the media.

Call it for what it is.. Two young adults going out without thinking of their responsibilities and doing something horrendously stupid and Cowardly (if reports are correct).

Just because my boss at work did something stupid 6 months ago I don't go do it too.. Hold these guys accountable for their actions, not relating it back to McGregor's DUI

It's getting that bad, I wouldn't be surprised if the playing group finally spit it out and tell someone they want a new coach, because honestly, i haven't really heard any of them defending Mcgregor.

Well , the way that I see this , there is a good side and a bad side .
Let's begin with the bad side - Parramatta will no longer wish to be our ' sister ' club !
And the good side - Our chances of signing Corey Norman have increased dramatically!

Lafai's a dud. Norman isn't. If we had the clubs best interests in mind we should find anything we can use against Lafai to sack him. Frankly, I'm not interested at what's the moral thing to do. I want what's best for the club, not Timoteo Lafai.

You can't sack players due to on-field performance.
Whats best for our club is to understand what actually happened and then deal with it in correct and professional manner.
If the worst thing Lafai has done is to ignore a move on order by the police then a fine and missing games is appropriate and nothing more.
I'm quite sure any of us would be most upset wit a wrongful dismissal.
If Havilli is involved in a brawl and found guilty of assault then termination is appropriate.

Old timer - what you state is exactly what will happen - you can already see that in the dragons very brief statement.

What you are seeing in here is an outpouring of anger by fans tired of inept management, b grade trash players who come here with no soul and a coach (sic) who really he lost control of his position.

Revolution is coming - it's time and it is in the air.

This proud Club is now a leaderless rabble. We sign these guys who are basically mercenaries with no knowledge of our history and tradition. They are after a easy pay cheque and have no real accountability.
Lets clean up our act move these people on and have a rebuild from top to bottom and only have people playing for us for the right reasons.

Spot on FD.

We have let our bright young junior stars leave while we sign B grade trash who are soulless (they are not mercenaries as that assumes tough paid hands).

I would rather lose with spirit and young guys showing some guts than play the pathetic way we are currently playing - Newcastle have the right strategy and they will rebuild under Brown and be a force once more - done proudly and with community spirit.

Revolution is coming.

Dropping a player doesn't remove them from the salary cap. I'm fairly sure everyone on this forum wanted Lafai dropped.
What I am saying is simple

Yes drop him for lack of ability.

Now for people to call for his contract to be cancelled that is a different matter.

If he is involved in this matter at a high end level then by all means rip it up.

If he just guilty of being drunk and not moving on when asked this is insufficient for his contract to be cancelled.

The bigger question is how did we sign this dud in the first place not can we get rid of him for behavioural reasons.

We can criticize the Club for poor NRL
performance however I believe that they get
an A+ for discipline and reform of players. I have full confidence in the Club to resolve this matter satisfactorily as it has a strong track record in this area.

Dude, it's a tough industry. We drop him he continues to carry on his clown act under the cap and we don't have space to buy a replacement. My goodwill towards him was pretty much burned up based on his half arsed performances, but, as others have pointed out already, if you're finally dropped, responding by going out on the piss until 5am doesn't do much to earn you the grace for a second chance.

Your bigger question still stands though and I've got no answer to it. We've bought a lot more rubbish than him since the supercoach left. He's bad but he's not even the worst. I wish that I could say to you, with a straight face, that if we pack this one-legged, limping joker off to Super league we'll replace him with this off season's James Roberts or Michael Jennings. But we both know we'll use the money to buy Blake Ayshford or Josh Hoffman.

It is very rare for the Dragons to have 'off field' problems. There seems to be a lot of very good characters at the club. Still out at 5am, true professionals. I watched Lafai play for the Cutters on Saturday, Holland gave him a bath.

While I agree with you, we shouldn't be the rehab clinic of the NRL.

I don't think it's a matter of whether or not we can unload him because he has been a dud, it's more a matter of the seriousness of the discretion, for anyone in fact.

St George Illawarra has always been a club that had minimal off field incidents.

Garvey, Nielson, & now the alledged players involved.

Maybe I'm stretching a long bow here.... but all these have happened under McGregor's watch. I think this is no coincidence.
