But they did work it out mate

I honestly don't "get" this point. once it's public knowledge it's public knowledge. I've said the nrl should drop it (it's been months for one thing) but the position he put the nrl in would be pretty f**king annoying.

There is no way I'd get fired for supporting a person in gaol. If I did I'd enjoy the unlawful dismissal case very much.

Paul Kent and Andrew Webster are terrified to get on the wrong side of the NRL to ask why the investigation has taken so long?

The absurd thing is they don't want Andrew Fifita to talk to Kieran Loverage but they want to talk to Kierin Loverage.

The guy is in jail, under stress and probably with depression and the NRL wants him to talk?

Who in their right mind would think that this would be a good idea?

Andrew has given the police his blessings to give the NRL the phone taps ....oh nothing there.

Is AF and KL communicating via code? and the NRL are taking so long to wind up the investigation because they can't break the code?

Free or For, For or Free, Free or For, For or Free .....Tick Tock Goes The Clock John Grant Is A Cock.

The NRL are hoping they slowing roast Andrew Fifita and make him commit suicide. Slowly killing him with time like being drowned by sand in an hour glass.

So the nrl want to visit jail and talk with Kevin Loveridge so they can punish Andrew Fifita for visiting jail and talking with Kevin Loveridge?

Yep .... Absurd hey?

What do they want to hear ...?

KL ... Hey Feefs bro, lets start a bikie gang after I get out and run drugs and guns.

AF ... Awesome idea bro, I'll run a campaign on my arm to get you out earlier!

How did Andrew Fifita damage the image of the NRL?

By using the nrls media deal to publicly send messages of support to a high profile killer. are you simple ?

He can support KL on his own time not the nrls. fwa has consistently shown employers are entitled to protect the reputation of their business. the nrl probably doesn't want to be associated with loveridge

Not simple at all you just have no idea what you are talking about.

Did you or more to the point do you know to this day what FKL means? Or are you just letting the same media tell you what to believe.

I'm no Fifita apologist but the facts are there are no facts so why is it taking so long? This kind of treatment is disgraceful from a national professional sporting organisation.

Has anyone in this thread took issue with him visiting loveridge ?

This is some world class missing the point.
How do you think this story blew up.
Journalist trying to say visiting someone in jail is something on par with Hitlers Hate crimes. Even if the bloke was someone who Fifita knew for a long time, who was suicidal so the family asked if he could go in and falk to him.
When most people didn't give a shit about that, they tried to speculate on what 3 innocuous letters on his forearm meant. It's only when the speculation got out of hand that fifita had to publicly admit that it was for a mate in prison who was on the brink of suicide. Without the hounding of the media and speculation it would of stayed a private message like the hundreds of messages written on players arms/tattooed on their skin etc that no one has any problems with because we have no idea.
If you think 3 letters on someones arm, that have no meaning to anyone but the person who wrote it, would get 90% of people fired then you aren't living in reality

Of course it would mate. what can i say businesses dont want to be associated with famous criminals.

Does the nrl not have the right to protect their image ? are you suggesting that the players can use the nrls reach to push any message they like ?

What right does fifita have to force his views on the nrl ?

Fifita said it stood for, "for kieran loveridge" and im willing to accept him at his word.

Ill ask you the same question i asked diego does the nrl not have the right to protect its image and control what messages they broadcast using their own tv deal ?

The nrl relies on customer good will. it relies on sponsors and it relies on that tv deal. what if the nrl doesnt want to be associated with a high profile killer ?

How is AF damaging the NRL's image by providing pastoral care and rehabilitation to a very troubled you man?

A noble thing to do by AF.

Visiting KL is no one's business.

Writing FKL on his strapping was silly. There are a few "buts" though. Like it was 8-10wks after he'd last had it on his strapping that anyone began to pay attention - it was not AF's intention to spread a message beyond him and KL. It only got legs because others sniffed around. Also to my knowledge the NRL have no stipulations over what can and cannot be displayed on strapping.

Even the media has dropped it but the NRL keep probing for something more. AF was happy for the recordings of his chats with KL to be shared with the NRL. That wasn't enough, they still wanna talk to KL? So KL is so bad to be vaguely associated with the NRL through an acronym yet they require his word to clear this up?

I didn't notice them seeking interviews with the bikies Hayne was filmed handing $5K cash to. Don't recall them seeking out the blokes who sold coke to the Titans.

WTF more are they trying to find, and why?

And ?

It's not the nrls concern that a violent loser is sad in prison. who cares if loveridge is depressed lmao.

He is supposed to be depressed. the loser killed a kid and assaulted a bunch of other people on his rampage.

There isn't a single argument that makes this OK. the nrl has the right to protect it's image. they have the right to choose who they are associated with.

Nobody should deny Andrew the right to associate with loveridge and he should not force the association on the nrl cause poor widdle kieren is depressed in prison. boo f**king hoo.

The thing is Andrew hasn't asked to cop any of this. He did it in his own time with no mass media coverage.

Without the media outrage which the game seems to just put up with none of this bullshit exists.

Andrew is not all that smart and ill advised sometimes but what he has gone through is punishment enough. The NRL should end this now especially with others playing who have done FAR worse and won't even be investigated.
