Surely the sticking point with this isn't the "FKL" on the strapping. That happened, and stopped half a season before anyone was even aware there was outrage to be had. I can't see what more could be investigated when it comes to the strapping. There is no argument over whether that was a bad idea or not, there is video evidence it happened and Fifita hasn't denied it was a message to Loveridge.

Why can't the integrity unit wrap this one up? They've spoken to Fifita, the cops and I'm pretty sure they listened to recordings of Fifita's convo(s) with Loveridge. Fine him, sack him, clear him - just wrap it the f**k up.

What will people in here use to thinly disguise their butthurt over the sharks winning the comp with then?

Because they've made themselves look like complete idiots by snubbing Fifita for the CCM when the general consensus was that he was the best on ground and then say he wasn't considered for the Roos tour over this incident. Now they are digging and digging hoping to find anything that they can point to and say 'uh hah! See he deserved that' but the longer this investigation goes and the less likely it looks that they will find anything, the stupider the nrl looks

Sharks fans really don't know how to celebrate a victory.

Nothing of the sort. I took a week off and celebrated heavily.

However in this case I think it's a complete joke, do you really think there is anything more to find??

Do you think this should have been resolved by now?

Hopefully Andrew and his family get closure by the end of the week and enjoy the festive season.

The fine should be suspended for say 6 months conditional of no more moonlighting as an arm artist.

I agree the fine should be suspended but make it a year.

He has made headlines for thr wrong reason 3 years in a row now. 2014 road rage incident, 2015 abusing the ref at that junior footy game and 2016 the current issue.

If he can make 2017 a year of only hearing good things about andrew fifita then wave the fine.

Just "told off a ref". Yeah right, selective memory there sunshine. It was so "run of the mill" Fifita was fined $30,000 and suspended from the NRL for 6 weeks. It is actions like his and his dopey brother's up at Penrith that see more junior league referees quit than anything else. As someone who saw junior league referees assaulted on the field because of actions like Fifita's leading to escalation from other members of the crowd, don't come cry "poor Andrew" to me citing that issue.
