You try finding half a tonne of Meth on your beach and see how stressful that is...

And then there's the Hone factor....

Yep, we deserve a cheer up..

On the other side of the coin.
You try losing half a tonne of your boss's Meth and see what stress is really about.

Was reading in the local paper that the whole gig was organised by Hone Hawawira.

See if I can find the link..

Thanks go to Hone

Wasn't it great to see the Vodafone Warriors in Kaitaia last week?

Literally thousands of kids - both young and old - got a chance to mingle with their heroes, who proved both accessible and approachable.

The Warriors too I believe got something back apart from just what was supposed to be a pre-season bonding camp.

They fully appreciated the chance to inspire the Kaitaia community and the wider, extended family of Far North rugby league.

But there was one person who worked behind the scenes to make sure the visit was a success on all fronts, and I think it's important that he be acknowledged for the crucial role he played in bringing the Warriors here.

That man is Hone Harawira, who founded the Tai Tokerau Rugby League organisation last summer, which proved so crucial to the development and progression of the 13-man game in our local communities.

Hone was at the coalface, with the help of many TRL personnel, to ensure the Warriors were well looked after during their stay, whilst allowing Kaitaia to enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity to connect with one of New Zealand's biggest and most popular sporting teams. I'm sure they gained a whole legion of devoted new supporters.

So, Hone, thank you - your efforts towards the visit have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by many of us who had an unforgettable chance to meet New Zealand's biggest names in league.

During that unplanned bus trip home from the Far North I hope they stopped at one of Pricey's Four Squares and cleaned him out of Jelly Tips and L&P.

hes still there for now

He's moving back to Qld next month according to his LinkedIn profile.

Such a great leader on and off the field with the Warriors, studied for a Master of Business Admin and recieved it, likes living in NZ, but never part of the Warriors setup post-playing.

Did someone at Warriors board-level have it in for him?

Yeah he looks alright. Something different to what we currently have. Big guy to go hard for 20-25 minutes and bump as many people as possible.

I asked the Knights forum about him. They said he was a bench Prop in NYC and lacked a bit of fitness, but goes OK
