Round 2 vs Dragons - Team List Thread

I didn't get to see the Dragon Panthers game, how was the Panthers pack? did they muscle up to the Dragons or offer little resistance?
I know our pack won't back down if it gets tough, but all reports i heard from the Dragons Panthers game were that the Panthers forwards went missing when the going got tough.
Fair assessment?

I thought Hoffman did well tbh ... but yeah he wasnt bombed ... he's played some fullback, i think he's got some ability under the high ball, but monster wingers like those at the roosters would be an interesting prospect

BA said about Hoff that he was impressed with his game and that he likes to "play tough". He has also been a fullback and wing plenty so I really don't see any issue against the monster wingers. If he is outjumped he will back his defence. I am happy with that.

Yep - panthers were pretty soft .... they looked like they wanted to play razzle dazzle all game ... and the dragons turned up and targetted their weakness

gees - I thought Hoff was good. He could have pushed into touch twice but managed to stay in - showed a lot of strength.

yeah, panthers middle was completely non-existent. merrin and tamou didn't stand up. it made saints look far better than they are, but I guess we'll find out this weekend. thought hoff was strong, made metres and would've had a try if bevans pass was better executed. I thought taka's read caused their first try, could be wrong though

Believe you me, if he stays on the wing, the Hoff will be the scape goat when we start losing.

Wenty starts the game before first grade. Id say Gower is 18th man and wont play this weekend. Unlike last weekend where game was a day before and someone would of come down for 18th man incase injury in warm up having 24hrs rest.
