It's called 3pas. The Broncos will have four or five sponsors flood Bird's manager for sponsorships and then they will sign him for half his real contract value which will be the figure that goes towards the cap.

I think the same goes for having a salary cap in itself though because you're limiting how much an employee can earn.

They actually do put a minimum cap value on marquee type players but the value is considerably less then their true market value. Clubs usually secure these type of players by loading them with 3pas which in some cases can be 40% of their total earnings.

The problem with the broncos is that they have the advantage of being the only club in the whole city to attract TPAs, but then again the broncos would say that Sydney has too many clubs in one city which restricts their ability for TPAs.........and the argument goes around and around.

I think he was promised the fullback position once Gordon finished his one year commitment. Don't be surprised if Souths make inquiries. Also there is a rumor Addo-Carr wants to come back to Sydney and Souths are showing interest. I think Both players are outstanding prospects.

3rd party agreements make the nrl an uneven playing field. It completely ignores the whole idea of having a salary cap because some teams (Brisbane, Melbourne, cowboys) can offer more TPA's than Sydney clubs. They may as well just take the salary cap away if they're gonna allow Brisbane to purchase every player at bargain prices. In saying that though Brisbane just lost ben hunt. So technically they do have some money up their sleeve for jack bird.

Addo Carr goes very well and he's good with the shit work and can break the line.

If we got Addo Carr the Tigers fans would be butthurt!!!!!!

I'd take Latrell too. What a player he's going to be.
