May not have been so many gaps from tired defenders and lack of structure for Sterlo in the modern game.Sterlo had to control and orchestrate a game that wasn't so structured. You didn't know where your field position /territory was going to come from in the 80s. Cronk is well and truely in a permanent comfort zone of knowing exactly what is going to happen in advance of each play and knowing that the rest of the team knows what is going to happen.
Fair call but it's still fun to play.Snooker and Billiards . . . not the same game, different rules, 17v17 not 13v13, different haircuts
Here's pops, right on cue..
Sterlo would be Dan Mortimer level if he played in this era...
And Churchill? Pedestrian?Sterlo would be Dan Mortimer level if he played in this era...

No, sorry. No footage of Daily Messenger either, apparentlyI'm not 90 years old and didnt see him play so can't comment on his playing ability. Does he have any highlights on youtube?
Little unfair, Sterlo could've played the modern game as well as Cronk if he began his career at the same timeSterlo would be Dan Mortimer level if he played in this era...
